Geesh, moving is such a pain especially when you are old and creaky. I've never rented a storage unit before and was rather intimidated to do so, and confused, but realized I needed one. As others have said, Elizabeth is a gem and really made the process smooth as silk. I called A-1 on a Friday afternoon and spoke with someone who sounded very knowledgeable. I'm giving A1 storage 5 stars because of the manager, Elizabeth. I encountered her on multiple occasions when I had to move from one unit to another. She was patient and understanding when she could have just showed me the door (literally). If I ever move back to San Diego and need to store my belongings when I deploy, I know there's no hesitation when I say it's at A1 on Morena.

Needed a small closet to store my extra "stuff" recently and went with another company as it was cheaper and closer to home. Didn't take me long to figure out that their storage was insecure, their business practices sketchy, and their staff condescending. Checked out A1 storage and there were several options near by Went over and looked at the one on Morena and was assisted by the lovely Elizabeth. First time I had to store my belongings and Elizabeth made it all so easy. On the day I was moving my things out of storage....things didn't go as planned but Elizabeth came to the rescue with plan B and everything worked out. My fiancé and I recently rented two units here at A-1 to store all of our stuff while we were moving from one home to a new house. It was a lively experience. Elizabeth was always present, helpful and informative. On the day we moved out of our units, another renters kept setting off the building alarm. She was friendly and didn't get upset. It was truly a positive experience because of Elizabeth. We'd definitely rent here again and will recommend to others.

I showed up on a Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago, in need of securing a storage unit that day, and Elizabeth went out of her way to show me a unit and get me signed up even though she had just clocked out for her lunch break. I was oblivious to the fact that she was on her way to lunch just as I was walking in the door, until she mentioned needing a moment to clock back in (after she had been helping me for almost 30 minutes). A1 has really easy access and great customer service. There are no gate entrances with strange hours, it's right off of the 5, and there's even a kiosk to assist you if it's after business hours. The entire facility is clean and well kept and in a very safe area. Kayla the manager is always cheerful and ready to help.

I would recommend A1 storage to anyone! I actually had an issue with a neighboring orange storage facility being rude and unaccommodating so, panicked, I decided to call somewhere else. A1 was soooo friendly and helpful. They got me into a storage unit after 6pm with their easy to use kiosk. They helped me pick a unit that was the perfect fit for all my stuff and with a great deal for the month I needed it for. I am so thankful to A1 Self Storage!

i have been renting storage here for 13 years!! I have had to change units to fit my size needs and it has always been a smooth experience. I have used other storage companies previously, but none even come close to measuring up to A-1 Self Storage. The worst being Public Storage. Over the years there have been some manager changes, but that still never affected the level of service i have received over the 13 years.
