There are a few A-1 locations in San Diego county and I am very happy I chose this one. Highly recommended. When my business expanded and I needed a little extra storage I reached out to a few storage facilities but didn't quite get the personal touch from the other as I did here. Ken and Steve are very professional, helpful and made me feel very safe in person and with my belongings. We visited several storage facilities when deciding where to store a wide variety of items. This location of A-1 was absolutely wonderful. In particular, Ken Dacosta was incredibly helpful and accommodating, showing us a number of options and helping us make the right decision for our needs. Thanks to Ken and to the team!

There's only one bathroom and they lock it when the office closes! Pee BEFORE you come here!!! But overall, very nice staff, clean units, reasonable prices, and they usually have a deal running. BUUUUTTTTT.... They DO need more hand carts though. Stay away on Fridays and Sundays. This location has some "swap meet-ers" that tend to unload their units to sell and load again after the weekend. We made that mistake and they also hog the few carts around (one group of them unloading one truck into one unit had three carts!!!)

This is the second time I've had to use this storage unit in the last few months. Once to move a friend's stuff into and once for myself. The location itself sparkles and very accessible. Now for the service, Steve was amazing. A very welcoming character, which is refreshing because I've never rented a storage unit and was nervous to be on site (I've heard crazy thing about some storage units) and that I was going to be dooped into renting too much space. Great great great customer service here. I needed this unit for about a month while between apartment leases. I tried a couple other storage places prior to A-1 and was met with less-than-friendly attitudes and a lack of knowledge about their own properties. However as soon as I popped in to A-1 I was greeted with a smile and a warm "Hello!" from Steve, who has been insanely helpful this whole time. I am a pharmaceutical sales rep and have used a few storage companies in the past. Some good and some not so good. I tend to have to interact a lot with the staff regarding shipments and often visit the facility at odd hours of the day so what's most important to me in a storage facility is Security, Access Hours, and most importantly Customer Service!!! Steve was extremely friendly and helpful. Clean facilities, professional and up front about everything. All steps were explained through the signing up process. Feel very comfortable storing my belongings here for an extended period of time. Military friendly for sure.

I went out shopping storage units last weekend & A-1 was my last stop. I rented a unit right on the spot. Steve was a great help & showed me different unit options. Facility was extremely clean & secured. They also have the longest operation & access hours. You can also drive right up to the elevator for your move & it's easy to move around once inside. Highly recommend!
