We used About Floors to replace damaged hardwood flooring in our livingroom and dining room. Through no one's fault (new wood didn't match the sample they got, and couldn't be placed next to the old wood), we had a problem with the installation that added a two week delay. Even though the problem had been unavoidable, Rick Costner and crew took total responsibility and owned it, and did everything they could to make our situation--flooring removed, waiting for hard-to-find wood--as livable as possible. We were very happy with all aspects of our purchase and installation of hardwood flooring from About Floors n More. We went to their new store on San Jose Blvd in Mandarin and the salesperson Donna was very knowledgeable and thorough, and she stayed in contact until the job was complete to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Job went extremely well and on or ahead of the schedule given. Day one was removing all the vinyl flooring and laying the Ceramic Tile, Day 2 was rip out of Great room carpet and installation of Laminate flooring. The three fellows came and worked really well as a team an knocked it out. My slab required minimum leveling so it went a bit faster than anticipated. The carpet came in last on the third day. Rick and his team did a great job. They worked quickly and efficiently and did quality work. They were quick to respond to a few touch ups on the hardwood after installation. Their installation team was professional and courteous. We were moving in from out of state and they had a tight timeline to complete the job and had to coordinate their time with other contractors. Excellent! My aging mother needed a softer surface in her large bedroom. Though she was very reluctant to agree to visit a flooring store, I did get her in to About Floors N More, as I have successfully used their services myself in the past, with super results. Once we were in the shop, we had the professionals showing us the various carpeting styles, paddings, and prices. We ultimately selected a carpeting that would work well with her multiple cats. We were very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the professionalism of everyone involved. We were quoted a price of $8200 initially, but complications with tile and glued carpet removal and leveling of the cement slab drove the price up more than $1000. Rick Costner was very easy to work with.He measured, suggested finishes, options like built in niche and door options.This was a complete rebuild that was estimated and coordinated with 3 other sub-contractors.The job took a total of 10 business days from start to finish.Two days of can be attributed to the city plumbing inspector. These guys are fabulous!! Don Jones was my salesperson...and a real delight to work with. They worked with me and my crazy schedule, showed up on time and did their job! It looked wonderful when they were finished! Everyone I dealt with was polite and professional...I would happily hire them again!
