Sure it's fast and pretty, but it will NOT auto attach to my small business email software - LAME. My basic, slow canon scanner can do this but not this fancy guy?!? I'm returning this.
got this printer to replace another one. i wouldn't buy it again papers kept jamming and touch screen was to sensitive.

The user manual lists a lot of things that it cannot do but it seems to do them anyway. For example it says that it is not to be used on pictures but that is what it is advertised to do. It warns that is may scratch the pictures. It says that you need to sort the items to be scanned by type of paper and that it is best to only use one weight of paper. I purchased the ADS-2700W at Best Buy a few months ago. I frankly give it heavy use. I love the fact that I can scan to flash drive without tying up my computer. I have maintained the maintenance from time to time flagged on the scanner screen. Now it is time for a new pickup roller to be installed. I have a 4 year service contract with Best Buy on it that I have not so far invoked, but Brother's inefficient and poor website maintenance may force me to do so. I’m a Brother Print purchaser for over 20 years, all of my printers, which I have four in my office. I need fast reliable printer/scanner. I bought this scanner thinking it would be faster and easier, than my current MFC, well it wasn’t. Even though, Brother are pretty good with assisting you with any problems, this one was never properly solved. I need to be fast and easy, you have go through steps in order to scan. I need another scanner and I won’t be buying a Brother this time

Do not buy this scanner if you are dealing with cloud applications, functions great for desktop.

Not a good functioning scanner. Is not compatible with most scanning software. No “one-touch” scanning profile. Settings for naming the item upon scanning do not hold. Slow operation. Not so user friendly!
Very slow and labor intensive to scan. Disappointed for the amount of money spent. Keeps wanting to disconnect from my laptop. Quality of scanned documents is very good.
