Everything went well. My water softener has been working great...no problems. When he first installed the softener I couldn't believe the difference! Wow I was amazed. I don't know what took me so long to make the investment. It's well worth it. I'm very happy with it. Trevor sold us the water softener. The 30 day follow-up is a great idea. Usually, if someone is getting a new water softener, it is due to moving into a new home or is a replacement for a failed system. In both cases, the homeowner is not focused on the softener details - all they want to do is move in to their new house or get the failed softener replaced. Any information that is shared is forgotten because the homeowner is "frazzled" and has far too many other things on their mind. We spoke with Trevor Townsend with Alamo Water Softeners (AWS) and received a quote for the job. He was able to accomplish this in a phone interview where we provided information such a square footage of home, location (indicator for water hardness), size of family, etc. We appreciated this efficiency in the quote process. This company is outstanding! I researched San Antonio, TX water softener companies through Angie's List and found Alamo Water Softeners was very highly rated. I called and talked with Allen Townsend who explained water softeners to me in language I could understand and had no problem giving me a price for the water softener and installation. I have nothing but praise for this company. Everyone was very personal, caring and professional. They agreed to squeeze me in on a Saturday after some digging appointments which could end anywhere between 3:00 and 5:00. The crew kept me informed by phone as to their expected time of arrival and arrived about 5:00 after a long day. They arrived with smiles and were not concerned about having to work so late. It was a painless process. Trevor the sales representative was punctual, polite and knowledgeable. The installation team was courteous and professional. Within a few hours my system was up and running. I am definitely glad I chose this company! Whole house water softeners with reverse osmosis.

The initial visit by Trevor was on time, pleasant and professional. He was straightforward, giving me options, and not trying to push a new system but being honest and saying the current system just needs a repair. The actual repair was also on time and professional. Trevor came to check on the functioning of the water softener and check the levels of salt and answer questions in regard to the new softener. He checked the valves, salt content on the faucets, and answered all questions. This follow up was done with no prompting and said a great deal about the quality of this company's service and responsiveness to customer care. I appreciated his promptness in responding to questions. Thank you. He did a follow up visit from the installation in October of 2013.

Allen Townsend arrived precisely at the time he said he would to give me the quote for the system. Since our house is not plumbed for a water softener and we have a detached garage, a line had to be run from the incoming water main, to the garage and back to the incoming water line into the house. A separate line had to be run from the water softener to the drain in our laundry room inside the house.
