Get directionsI don't understand all of the negative reviews here, unless folks don't understand the difference between a skilled nursing facility and a spa. The staff are incredibly professional, hardworking, and caring, and the place is kept very clean. They really work to get patients to regain independence, and we're so grateful for the care our mom is receiving after being released from the hospital for a stroke. She's responding well to her therapy, eating, and making friends. This is everything we hoped for. The staff communicate... read more

My dad had to be in AG for 2 weeks, not under the best situation after falling. Staff were wonderful, always keeping us up to date. Thank you Zac, Katy, Amethyst and all the nursing staff as well, including the front desk.
This place is really warm and friendly like any business they have ups and downs but overall they work well to make your loved one feel safe, secure and comfortable
My mom 68 yrs here now 12/7/2016. Most of the nurses are great but the some seem like they are in the wrong career for this kind of work. Meaning some nurses you will get, don't have the patience for some elders who need some extra care, and to be gentle with! And response time to the room takes along time. Me and my family are here everyday, so this is very accurate!
Our elderly member came here after serious lack of treatment at Kindred - the place to suffer. The staff here, from intake to nurses, go above and beyond to care for their patients. I have witnessed the most patient, kind and caring staff at Alaska Gardens, especially when they get yelled at by the dementia-riddled mind. The physical therapists are concerned about each patient's needs and limitations. A few staff members could brush up on their skills. But, for the most part, the facility as a whole deserves 5 stars.
The hospital told my mom she would need to go to a nursing home for rehab and she'd be there for 6 to 8 weeks. We picked Alaska Gardens because her primary care doctor said it was the best in town. My mom was back home in 4weeks. The staff was amazing. They made sure she had everything she needed when she came home. Anytime my sister or I had concerns, we told someone and they took care of it. They explained things to us when we had questions. I hope my mom never needs to go to a nursing home again but if she does she is goi... read more
My adopted mom is there for rehab n she doesnt get her pain meds when she needs them. She gets ignored all the time. Her roomate wont allow her to watch TV. Shes not even allowed to listen to music. Yo guys need to find roomates that are similar with each other that way you can get along with each other. Im looking to find someplace else to send my adopted mom. I will never refer anybody here. last butt not least, if you say your going to do something about it, do it!!!!!!!

Some staff okay other are very rude and don't care for rules and regulations. Corners are cut Care is awful they ignore their residents. Residents are forced to wait up to 3hours or more . If they don't have someone to advocate for them you will not know what is happening to your family. assist or full assistance these nurses and nursing assistants are garbage tell residents or I don't know call the front desk I just work part time here a work at the hospital and my family got a bed sore on their ear how does that happen?! ... read more

Do not admit your loved one to this facility. The care staff is a complete joke! My Dad was put on hospice & the nurses working there were not administering his pain medications on time. My sister & I stayed there the entire time & had to search for a nurse to administer meds. When we needed a nurse, they were behind a desk either eating or visiting with other staff. I also noticed that there were so many call lights on for other patients & staff were all sitting down doing nothing. There are a few administrative staff that... read more
