An upscale seafood restaurant shouldn't smell like seafood. The food was very good, but the service was mediocre at best. Our server was "present". When our entrees were served, we needed to flag down our server and request utensils when my wife's were cleared with her appetizers.

Excellent, as usual. No issues. Prime Rib was a little tough, but it was handled very nicely.
Food was not up to the standard it had been in the past when we visited Alexander and menu seems to have become a little more limited.
Alexander's is a "must" every time we come to Hilton Head Is. For this visit our group enjoyed the prime rib, blackened snapper, lobster, and veal Wiener schnitzel; all were excellent!
Hilton Head price, but you can't get a better meal anywhere.
