Alexander’s has a small menu of reliably very good fish and seafood supplemented by imaginative specials. We visited over MLK weekend and met the new chef who has come from Fraser’s in Sea Pines. We ordered the baked flounder from the regular menu and the special of cobia. Both were excellent. We have come to Alexander’s the past two years while vacationing in HHI, and we love it. Everything from the cocktails to the food to the service is excellent.
Great restaurant for date night. Enjoyed the bar before dinner and service is excellent. The food was over salted this evening however tasty. We have eaten here many times and will again. This was the first time we were not totally satisfied with the meal.
This is are favorite restaurant with this being an exception. The daily entre missed the mark. I found it bland especially the crusted potato item. My partners plate vegies were undercooked - not yielding to being cut.
We took our friends who were visiting us from DC. Every dish we had was terrific! The crab cakes were superb, the fresh local fish, a species of drum, was great, the weiner schnitzel, the shrimp and grits outstanding. Donna was our server and was exceptionally knowledgable about the ingredients and the preparation of the food and was super. We shared a very nice bottle of Pinot Noir from the excellent wine list.
