Delicious food, good service. Seating is a bit tight, dishes a bit more expensive when compared to similar restaurants in area but well worth it as the food is absolutely delicious!
To be fair it was our first time at Alexander’s and it was Valentine’s Day. The place was packed. The service was fast enough given the above. The bar is great and I love the bartender. Three negatives: 1. We had requested a specific server. We did not get her and the server. I understand they can’t always honor such requests but they should have offered an explanation and/or an apology. 2. First time in Hilton Head. Chose Alexander’s based on customer reviews. Everything, the host, wait staff, food was excellent. Wife and I had a great valentines dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Can’t wait to visit again.
Regulars there, always top notch. This time, however, they were off their game. The crab soup was twice the consistency as usual. The manager did swap it out, much appreciated. Wife and daughter got the Valentines Specials, they were very pleased. Son and I always get prime rib, this time the meat was bland and chewy; very disappointed with this visit.
