Our dinner at Alexander’s was great. We had a table with a view of the lagoon. Our server as well as others who tended to our table was outstanding. The food was very tasty. We will return!
This was our second visit. We had a party of 6. The service was strange for all courses. The food/cocktails were not brought out for everyone at the same time. Most of us had the prime rib which was excellent. I had the spinach salad with a warm dressing. It was less than impressive. The desert menu was not at the expected level for this restaurant. The she crab soup was too rich to eat and the Caesar salad was not good. The baked flounder was very good and so was the winter salad.
Great food, special dessert for wife’s birthday. Beautiful restaurant and location.
Alexander’s has a small menu of reliably very good fish and seafood supplemented by imaginative specials. We visited over MLK weekend and met the new chef who has come from Fraser’s in Sea Pines. We ordered the baked flounder from the regular menu and the special of cobia. Both were excellent. The cobia was lightly blackened and served over tiny red potatoes, broccoletti, and shaved Brussels sprouts with a little crema.
