We've been coming here for years, ususally arrival night to get a great start on the week. Food. As usual, was excellent but service was marginal even though the place wasn't busy.
Just reopened and was nicely redecorated . Did not have the greatest waiter he was rather stiff and formal. The food was fine. I had Crab Cakes would order them without the sauce next time. Portions on the small size no "doggy bags" from here. It was very quite which was a nice change from the many noisy restaurants on the Island in the summer.
We went to numerous upscale restaurants in the area, all of which were well-known for their excellent food, service, and atmosphere. But Alexander's was by far exceptional and our favorite restaurant during our Hilton Head vacation! The food, service and ambiance were all outstanding. Beautiful business casual restaurant with a great view of a Hilton Head pond/lake. Not so stuffy that children are not accepted. Excellent seafood & steak creatively prepared. If you need low salt, just ask at the time of ordering. Nice place, good service, great food.
