The hanger steak was cooked perfectly but the fries were soggy and the broccoli rabe was overcooked and difficult to cut even with a steak knife. My wife had the same problem. Our 8:00 pm reservation was likely to late in the evening to reorder to expect a different result. The two meals should not have left the kitchen.

We returned with our family yesterday, but were very disappointed……we have attended many many times previous and had rewarding experiences, but not this time !

We had an anniversary dinner at Alexander's yesterday. Nice table overlooking the water. Although the food was good the service was not. We failed to get 2 of the items we ordered. Water was not refilled. Drink orders were late. Bill was not split correctly. Very disappointed! This used to be a nice spot, but the service has gone downhill!

Before we arrived Alexander’s should have notified us that there was a rehearsal dinner (40-50 people) next to us! The acoustics in the main section of the restaurant are TERRIBLE, and we could barely have a conversation. Our server was AMAZING. The food quality was disappointing. The noise was ridiculous!

Shane, it looks like we didn't meet your standards on your last visit
Very disappointing. We go to Hilton head every year for over a decade. Finally decided to try Alexander’s. Requested a seat overlooking the lagoon. They had one available, but it sat empty for 30 minutes and told us we cannot sit there. Gave us a terrible table facing the parking lot. Two of the five orders came out completely cold. Very expensive steaks with no flavor. Will not be back.
