We have eaten at Alexander’s multiple times. Food was good as always however our dining experience was disappointing. Despite having reservations, we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated , yet saw several empty tables. While we recognized that you can’t rush customers already seated and finishing their meals, it was our server who ruined the evening. Our server 's voice was very soft and low causing us to many times ask her to repeat what she was saying. The restaurant noise was not unusual for dinner there. We were enjoying our appetizers when the entrees arrived. Poor pacing of the food. Returning the entrees to the kitchen is not really an option. We turned in our appetizers for the hot entrees.

The restaurant seated us in the bar room and it was VERY loud from a large party congregating at the bar. When we asked to move, we were told that the large party would be seated soon. They never were. They were only there for drinks. We asked to be moved and were denied.

The service was TERRIBLE! Couldn’t get wine bc the Bar was backed up & asked what else would you like to order!? Waitress walked by & by & by & by until I remarked as a hostess was setting the table next that the table of 4 on the other side was getting their order take by the Same waitress. Hostess gave us a free dessert…. Not her top 3 options. We had 2 Uber driver ask us why we were goi g there!!! TERRIBLE! We’ve been there before and went back based on previous positive experiences. So DISAPPOINTING!!

We have been to Alexander’s many times, at least once per summer for the last 20 years. Our Server Angela was exceptional, and fulfilled our requests with a smile. The problem we had was the food. The prime rib was tough and fatty. We ordered it with a pink center, but it was just like shoe leather and had no sickness it was flat as a pancake not soft and tender as we usually find prime rib. We have been here before and really enjoyed it. Tonight was very disappointing. Waitstaff was not familiar with the menu and brought the wrong drinks. They could not answer basic questions about the menu. They did not inform us of the specials until specifically asked. No wine list was provided. For the cost it was incredibly disappointing.

The wait staff was selling “local Halibut” as the special. We questioned it and were told it was legit. We lived in Alaska we know Halbut is not harvested this far south. I ordered it anyway out of curiosity and it was not great, not a cheap restaurant…. Do better.
