I called to find out how much it would cost to get my dog spayed and they quoted me a price of $129 saying it included the spaying, boarding for one night, and the IV catheter. They get her vet records from my vet and told me she needed a bordatella vaccine, ok fine. I drop my dog off and they call me later to say she’s doing great. The next morning, they call and say she’s vomiting and want to give her an injection for the vomiting and I agree after them saying it’ll be $49 for it. I took my dog there to be boarded thanksgiving week, because we were traveling such a long distance and she gets car sick. My vet didn’t have any availability. This was the only vet that had space for her. I should have listened to my vet, they told me not to take her to all creatures. I picked my dog up, she was covered in poop and pee. From her head to her butt. It obviously looked like she had quite a few accidents in her crate.(she is crate and potty trained) hints the reason she was covered in it. I recently went to this vet and dealt with Dr. Hankes and I would like to say that the staff (ladies at the front desk and ladies that came in the room to help with my dog) were great and very sweet! Dr. Hankes on the other had was very insensitive to my situation. He diagnosed my dog with nuclear sclerosis and told me she was going to go blind and the only thing I can do for her is “don’t rearrange any furniture”. Terrible experience. Dr. Ted Hankes guessed at what was wrong at my cat. The next day I took my cat to Gardendale Pet Clinic and they took care of my cat. After leaving a bad email review I get a bill for 134.00 even though the visit was supposed to be free because I got my cat from the Birmingham Humane Society. They did take off the examination fee but still charged me for the medicine that was worthless to me because i couldn’t use it. Save your self the hassle and go to Gardendale Pet Clinic 205-631-9636

Killed a friends cat & then sent a reminder a year later for the cat they killed!!!!
Took my cat in at 7:30am for some serious coughing fits that often led to vomiting. Waited until 11:30am to call and check in. When I called, they said she had been seen but that the Vet was busy and would call me back to discuss. I waited until 2:00pm before getting fed up enough to show up in person. When I showed up in person, they said she had not yet been seen (6 1/2 hours later). They said I could wait but that it would still be a while before she could be seen.
