I booked this company to move me out my home to a storage unit in mauldin 6 miles away. 1. They arrived at 8:45 and started assessing the situation on what needs to be moved and how they were going to move it. 20 mins go by and whispering and then I get a phone call and they’re basically saying I have bedbugs. While the movers, themselves, were friendly, there is no way on this earth that moving me out of a 2 bedroom apartment into a house that is 5.6 miles away should have cost $1384. Everything was boxed. Furniture was 2 beds, 1 couch, 1 chair, dresser, small round table with chairs. All the boxes were removed in about 40 minutes. Furniture was already starting to be loaded. Let’s talk about All My Sons aka the worst move we’ve ever had. We were told it would take three days to pack, move, and unpack our stuff. The crew showed up on the first day and said that their money comes from tips, they expected a good tip. We gave them $40 each, we didn’t know what a good tip was. They were disappointed with that so we asked what a good tip was and they said $100. Each person got $400 in tips from us by the time it was done. The first day wasn’t so bad. They don’t follow directions, they don’t respect the homeowner or their belongings, they break things, they throw treasures items into trash bags instead of properly packing them, they extort more money from the customer, and if you’re really lucky, they will leave without completing the job and keep your money if you dare bring up all the stuff they broke. Horrible company!! Save yourself and avoid at all costs!
Recently hired to pack one day and move next. Grossly underestimated cost and time for job! Movers were late both days, and slow as well, but were very professional. The office staff were very very rude (no one should ever speak to a customer that way) and acted as though the wrong quote, time & issues were our fault! They recommended a certain size storage and it was not large enough. They also provided boxes but they ran out, and we had to provide materials and tools even though they were supposed to have those. Order three men got two and took them 11 hours they worked slow to drag out hours , they didn't come on day requested and they didn't notify me till late in day when they knew in morning then discounted hardly anything for my inconvenience and money loss they broke a lot of things and pay no regard for things marked fragile started quote unquote insurance take care of it I even told them don't wrap things to make it quicker and wasn't till I started to cry did they move and even then one worker wasn't even friendly enoug... read more
I’m not one to ever post reviews but I am extremely disappointed in this company. I felt blindsided and like they took advantage of the fact that I am woman who needed help. I was given a quote of $109/hr for booking a month in advance. The morning before my move they called and tried to change it to another day because it was a 3rd floor move.
