There in home estimator was way off ! They quote you one price when the truck is loaded charge you another and will not unload until you pay! The movers ask for tips because they are only paid $8 per hour

I wish I could give them 0 stars, honestly. Dealing with this company was great until the actual move. During the move, one of the movers blasted rap on his phone the entire time which was pretty annoying and unprofessional. There was only one guy who seemed to actually care about time, meanwhile the other two took their sweet time...which was crappy for me considering I'm paying these guys on the hour. The worst part was once we made it to our new house, they unwrapped my boyfriend's dining room table. This table is one o... read more

I called a month prior to my moving date for a quote, providing all the details (how many items, what type, how many rooms, how many floors in the homes, etc). AMS recommended a 3 man crew, gave a quote and I paid my deposit. Four days before my move, AMS called to confirm and asked me again for the details of my move. I provided the same information but this time a 4 man crew was recommended at a higher hourly rate. This was an awful experience. Please use anyone else. I called to get a quote they assured me they could do it in two hours plus one hour of drive time. So it would be $450.00 before fees. If it took them three hours plus drive time then it would be $600.00, but the salesperson said he was sure they could get it done in two. Well it took them five hours plus one hour drive time. This was the worst moving experience that I've ever had. We used the company in Richmond, Virginia. It took them 16 hours to partially complete a move out of a 2800 sq.ft. home. All of our boxes were packed and labelled according to which rooms they were to be brought to, yet they still asked questions, and STILL did not get them to the right rooms. Out of 6 men, only 2-3 of them actually did any work! The last hour consisted of only on man doing work, as the others said they "were off the clock". After 16 hours, beds ... read more
