We made a reservation for indoors and got seated outdoors. When I asked the hostess how long of a wait it would be for an indoor table, she said “A while. You’ll be more comfortable out here.”

I was really looking forward to this dinner and so excited to try Allegeo, but the entire experience left me completely underwhelmed. We made a 7:30 reservation and weren’t sat until closer to 8 in a less than stellar position. It took our server awhile to greet us (think 10 + minutes) and that basically set the tone for the whole night. A dinner that should’ve taken a hour tops ended up being closer to 2 hrs because we were basically neglected the entire meal. The service was mediocre and the servers couldn’t even keep thei... read more

I have never sent food back, but we were forced to last night! The place was extremely busy and they were struggling to keep up, The fig ravioli tasted like oatmeal and the duck Ragu sadly tasted like Pasta in hot tomato sauce with absolutely no flavor. The restaurant was very apologetic and didn’t charge us for the food, but I don’t think I will ever return there.

We visited for lunch on Sunday. They had a limited brunch menu - so we could not order from the normal menu. The food arrived with the promised condiments - had to ask and wait for them. The calamari looked freezer burned or totally dried out - terrible and inedible. The french toast looked great, but was just fried, dry bread.

This is a new restaurant but the menu needs a LOT of work. Items on the menu were not accurate and the portion sizes were inconsistent. Two of us ordered the 10 oz. steak but they were completely different sizes. The zucchini spirals were listed as having ricotta but instead had mozzarella. Those were $17 for 4, and each one was a different size. We basically paid $17 for 4 mozzarella sticks. We also got the bone marrow bruschetta. It came with 4 small slices of stale bread, and the pics online did not look like what we got.... read more

I was so excited to go here for my bday dinner. Sadly, I was very disappointed. When I made the resv last month, I indicated that we were celebrating a birthday however, no one ever acknowledged it. Our server was nice and friendly - the service was actually pretty good- but he never told us his name. I wanted to order the pasta made in the cheese wheel but he said they didn’t do that on Saturdays. On the way in we saw it being served to another table! Husband had the veal pappardelle which was good but not great. I had the ... read more

We made a reservation 3 days ahead and when we showed up we’re seated out on the side street. Zero ambiance out there.... We were seated and ordered drinks and wine, then the sommelier showed up after the wine was poured... We ordered the bone marrow appetizer, it was ok, I don’t think it was cooked through because it was a tad hard to scrape but it had good flavor. Calamari was ok. The carbonara was soupy, but the fig ravioli was good. I notated on our reservation it was for a birthday, nothing was mentioned so not sure the... read more

Allegro is a new restaurant in Little Italy. We really wanted to try it and make an early dinner reservation. This would be our first time eating out after a year due to COVID. We were sitting in the Lemon Garden (indoors). When we went there some tables were empty, and we thought it was going to stay like that. But, unfortunately, there was no social distancing at this restaurant after an hour. They were supposed have 25% capacity, but it was 100% full. The tables were very close to each other. While we were eating, they pu... read more
