We went for Restaurant Week and the food was fantastic. The gnocchi was perfect and the portions generous. The deconstructed cannoli was to-die-for. Excellent service and a cute outdoor setup that felt very European . We will definitely be going back again!
Ambiance was beautiful. The food/wine were exquisite.
Service was terrible. We asked for tap water and they brought out a $9 bottle of water and opened it at the table. Our calamari appetizer was missing the lemon sash, we asked our waiter for one since we noticed other tables had theirs, and we never got it. We ordered cocktails and it took so long that 3 different waiters stopped by our table asking if we wanted to order drinks (“yes, we’re still waiting for them!”). The food was pretty good. While we prefer to avoid Little Italy because of the limited parking, the menu looked good so we thought we'd try Allegro on a Sunday. We were given a table on their enclosed patio where it was quite nice and where there were ample space heaters. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu: Although tasty, the lobster bisque lacked much lobster flavor. The calamari was bland, lukewarm and uncrispy. We were seated quickly outside, it was a little noisy with traffic behind us but were were able to carry on a conversation. The tables were rather close to each other making it difficult to get into some seats. The firebox on our table was not working, but the stand up heater was which we needed on a cool night. We saw mixed reviews about this restaurant but we thought it was very good. We both had pasta dishes that were good. The Caesar salad was nothing special. It was Friday night so very crowded and loud but not in a bad way. Service was very attentive.
Great food and a great time! Pretty packed place but it was fun having the tables close together. Had a great server!
Service was very poor. Disappointed. However, the food was decent.
Delightful evening under the lemon covered ceiling. The Allegro salad and gnocchi were excellent, along with our bottle of Pinot Grigio!
