Drive 2 hours from San Diego & love this clinic! Drs. Shufer and Henderson are the best veterinarians we have found. We only take our pets (2 dogs and a cat) to other doctors when we aren't able to make the trip to see them. They are extremely talented and knowledgeable vets; have a friendly and skilled team; and genuinely care about our animals. We highly recommend Alta Rancho!
Excellent Vet for Cats! My cat Sparky just turned 18 years old. I took her to see Dr. Shufer at the recommendation of a friend, who had excellent care with both of her dogs. I was so glad I did. He did such a thorough exam and showed more knowledge of cats than any other vet has in all of my 40 years of cat guardianship. I have my cat and bird in that clinic and I can highly recommend them, they have full services and lots of extras, for example I told them I couldnt bring in my cat in the morning because I work and they offered to board him at no extra cost, another example...before his teeth cleaning, the technician called with all the instructions and patiently answered all my questions; another example......

Caring Pet Hospital Approximately 2 years ago I took my Canary in to Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital with a serious leg problem. The band was too tight and was causing the leg to swell, therefore, causing the band to cut into the leg.
