RecommendedI recommend Althoff. They were recommended to me by a trusted neighbor. They sent me a competent plumber who was knowledgeable, experienced and fair. While family owned since 1961 as they assert, they are a rather big operation. Offering a variety of services related to heating, air conditioning and plumbing and more. And yet, they seem to have kept that intimate family type connection all while offering deep service capabilities. They are not super cheap; but, they are both fair and super competent.
Excellent customer service. Knowledgable technician who answered all of our questions and took time to explain our options.

Thoroughness, knowledge, customer responsiveness.
Fast friendly service from both the customer service rep on the phone to the technician that came to the house. Explained everything necessary for the repairs and for potential future issues with the hot water heater. The technician for the membership maintenance program was also friendly and explained everything in detail.
