Ambra has very good service with very good food. Inside music was a bit loud but overall a great experience.
Amazing experience overall! Truly a gem in McAllen. Cuisine was inventive and delicious. Atmosphere was enchanting. Great place for date night and to celebrate special occasions.
Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere, wonderful food, and absolutely the best service by Hugo!!! he went out of his way to make our first time experience the best and will definitely be recommending to friends and family The bar service needs help. It took about 20 minutes for somebody to actually acknowledge us once seated at the bar.
First time visiting Ambra, amazing decor, food, atmosphere and drinks. Service was excellent. Bartender made very good drinks. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is exactly what you want for something intimate. If you're looking for delicious food with a intimate experience, you might need to look somewhere else. Although the food sounds and looks amazing, it lacks flavor. The wait staff are super. It's definitely a popular location for a celebratory occasion If you're looking to impress, but that's it. It's definitely a social media flex.
My only complaint is about the restrooms, as a female I do not feel comfortable coming out of the restroom and males are waiting around. I did not feel comfortable looking at myself in the mirror to fix my lipstick or dress. I felt extremely uncomfortable.
We celebrated our anniversary and it was perfect.
Great food. Great service. Would highly recommend it.
