I HAVE 4-5 CARS AT ANY GIVEN TIME WITH AMERICAN COLLECTORS AND HAVE USED THEM SINCE 2016 OR 2017 I CAN'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHEN I SWITCHED FROM HAGGERTY. ON 06/28 I PURCHASED AN A-TEAM TV SERIES REPLICA VAN. AFTER SENDING ALL THE PHOTO'S REQUESTD THEY STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COVER MY VAN. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED AS I HAVE USED THEM SO LONG AND NEVER ONCE HAD A CLAIM WITH THEM. used them for 7 years on at least 9 classic cars...never put in a claim! never any issues...they dropped me for having a small tear on my seat...which I have new old stock seat covers took me 3 years to find..and in the 7 years I have recommended at least 30 new customers to them! I have a clean driving record, no points ever! this is a classic Cadillac that I only use for car shows in the summer only....I explained the small damage to the seat and they did not care!!! beware they will drop you for no reason at all
Tried to add a second vehicle to my existing long time ACI policy and ended up talking to 5 different people, all with 5 different rates, some licensed, some not. I wasted 4 hrs and finally went with Hagerty. Took 10 mins, didn’t get the run around and my policy was $300 cheaper per year. I will likely switch my other classic to them as well. ACI has really gone down hill.
Was not a fan of having my time wasted. Filled out the questionnaire, honestly and gave me a price but I needed to call or schedule an appointment. Was rejected because I can't put my pickup truck in the garage that needs paint and am open about. Which was a question on the questionnaire and should have at that time said sorry we don't insure people who can't put it in the garage. So that all to be said not sure of quality but they like to waste time out of the gate.

Cheap for a reason. They are horrible communicators and make up their guidelines as they go it seems. I will be switching all my vehicles to another provider.
