I set up everything for there to be insurance coverage when I picked up my Porsche Boxster. I was told I would be emailed an insurance card by the time I arrived to pick up the car (Private Sale) We never received the card and had to call back to get it when we got home. My credit card was run and there was no attention to detail after. Probably like everything else now, not enough help.
Anybody that is interested in getting a classic car policy from American Collectors Insurance should look elsewhere. Yes, the policy's might look affordable but they will not back you up when a life changing event happens, like a stolen vehicle or totalled vehicle. I would recommend paying a touch more and going with Haggerty. They will guarantee and stand by the VALUED amount provided on your policy. Tried to insure my two classic trucks with this company. If you actually drive your vehicle occasionally, they will make up a reason not to cover it. On the "how do you use this vehicle" I selected "Towing, utility, or offroad" as this most closely matched the few miles I actually drive a year.
