We have been bringing our dog here for the past 8 months and impressed with the back of the house staff, very friendly, helpful and professional. Not impressed with the front of the house, especially one of the "younger" girls who never acknowledges you when you walk in and seems a bit annoyed. She is always looking at the computer and never smiles or greets you the way a customer should be. I will get her name and will express to the office manager what I feel. My husband also experienced the same response when he need... read more

This vet's office is great! We take our two pups in for routine check-ups and occasional dental work without incident. They all seem to have a passion for animals and are always very kind and helpful.

We have been taking our pets to the vet at American Pet Hospital for more than 8 years. Recently, our beloved family dog became ill with cancer and we had to put him to sleep. The entire staff at APH was amazing throughout the entire experience, from diagnosis, to our last trip. Today, we received a sympathy card from them in the mail. Our hearts were touched, but imagine how surprised we were to open that card and see that many of the staff members had written personal messages to us! (We often used their boarding serv... read more

My boyfriend and I recently added a black lab puppy to our growing pack of dogs. Actually, our little Jake will be the last doggy for awhile. So with one growing puppy and two mixed chihuahuas we need a good vet. American Pet Hospital does two things: takes care of animals and humans well. Jake has been since he was brought home at 3 months. He has been for numerous shots because unfortunately he had kennel cough and worms AND THEN tape worms. However, no fear! The vets here have taken very good care of him. He does not whi... read more

Each time we have had to take our pets into APH, we have had great experiences. The staff has always been courteous and friendly. Our dogs are normally very difficult to manage at vet offices (partially due to the staff), at APH though, the dogs were less reactive and more at ease. Today's visit with our cat, she was purring the whole time, didn't lash out or hiss at all. The staff is very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Add to that, their rates are lower than other vets we have been to, they will offer multiple o... read more

When you own pitbulls, sometimes it's hard to find the right fit in terms of vet care. We have 2 pits and a cat. When we moved to this side of town we needed to find a new vet. I think I called around to a few places. I received the best phone service from this office, and also received the best price quotes here. Our first visit was a general check up and annual vaccinations for the dogs. First thing, the vet got down on the ground with both dogs and just hugged them and wrapped his arms around them. He let them kick hi... read more

Me and my husband had an AWFUL experience at this vet office. Which is unfortunate because we have went here for quite some time. We took our cat in for a routine blood work dental cleaning. And she came back home WITH HALF OF HER NOSE MISSING. I noticed instantly when she got home that her nose was very pink. My husband reassured me that they probably had something over her nose for the cleaning, and to give it a day. When we checked again this morning, we noticed clear as day that she had a huge chunk out of her nose. We... read more

Business response:

We are truly sorry to hear how upsetting this experience was for you and your husband. We understand how distressing it is to notice anything unexpected with a beloved pet, and we take concerns like this very seriously. When you contacted us, our team encouraged an immediate recheck so our veterinarian could properly examine her nose, address any potential infection, and provide appropriate treatment if needed. This offer was made out of concern for your cat’s health and well-being. We understand that you are frustrated an... read more

I'm unsure how you've come to the conclusion that you weren't able to speak to me directly. I stood in the office when I was given the quote of $700 for option 1 or $1000 for option 2 even though the Dr told me $550 for the dental special including the blood draw per the email sent out. I guess I should have negotiated the price better like I was in a flea market or in Tijuana but I was under the impression I was in a medical office in America and the price was just the price. Silly me

Business response:

Hi Rich, we’re disappointed to hear that you had a negative experience at our practice. We aim to provide quality care while also informing pet parents of any treatment options available so they can make informed choices about their pet’s health. We are sorry that we did not have the opportunity to speak with you personally to hand the situation.

I've been coming here for a couple of years and usually the vet will tell me a price before they do anything or at least options. I made the mistake of giving the okay for them to draw blood/levels from my dog. Jed the vet did not give me a print out or anything about the price which came out to $400+ at the end. I even told the people at the front desk that I wasn't aware of this price, Jed the vet did not mention this price at all. They could at least offer a payment plan. Nobody just has $400 to throw away, especially no... read more
