I have got slow service took 6 month to get hooked up. Then the first time I ordered propane took a month for them to deliver. Now they charge $1.50 more then I would pay at the gas station. When I ask them why all they would say is that's the market price. Well that's funny because when I called when I told them I was price checking they said they go over $3.00 a gallon. So if you like to deal with crooked people try Amerigas.
One star is generous. We called for propane at 30% and waited & waited. Called multiple times to get delivery without success. They would schedule the appointment and not show up. We eventually ran out of propane and we had to heat water on the stove to do dishes and take baths. That was 3 months ago & we have never been able to reach anyone that is able to get someone out here. Requested in Jan 2023 to have service discontinued. Sent numerous emails, website Chat with Us and spoken with tank driver. There is no local office. Was told it would be done in next monthly cycle which was Feb 2023. Service was not discontinued. Paid Feb and Mar 2023 in good faith that service would be discontinued by end of Mar. Worst company I've dealt with terrible customer service and there's no Americans at America's just a bunch of foreigners who don't have a clue and can't understand them I'm done with their billing Dept and representatives worthless company high prices terrible customer service and support any propane company but indiangas there all indians and they will scalp you !!!!!!?
I am tired of this company. They create ghost bills. I never had service with them. When I was renovating my home I call for a quote how much will cost me to put gas as I have nothing in there no lines, etc and I want to installed tankless water heater for the showers. I ended to go with Griffin’s Oil company as they seems to be more professional and way cheaper than Ameri GAS. Now they have the nerve to send me to collections to pay a ghost bill. SMDH
Amerigas bought ******** *******. When I bought my home the tank was already there. I called they delivered. When Amerigas took over they told me I had a contract on the tank I signed for Heritage. I never signed such contract and now they wont even remove the tank. And they keep adding late charges on a rental fee I told them I wasn't paying. Amerigas pricing is over 30% than another local LP provider. In addition, they instituted a tank rental fee of over $150/year that was not previously charged This amounts to over $700 more per year and will likely only increase.
Very poor service and extort their loyal customers. All other propane companies in my area were charging over $1.00 less per gallon. I called Amerigas and was told that if i got 4 quotes in writing from the other suppliers they would look at reducing my rates. The only discount they have is given to new customers and not the customers that have been utilizing them for over 5 years. Purchased our own tank and they tried to charge $149 for tank pick up. This company is horrible! I have had issues for over the last year starting with propane delivery, showing up unannounced, and then when our service needed to be discontinued for several months, they disregarded messages left through their message system on their website as well as conversations I had with their customer service department. I called and cancelled my service over a week ago and they could not give me a date they would be able to pick up the tank.
