Do not do business with them. I had to learn the hard way. We had a small "leased" tank from them for a gas fireplace that we never used. We sold our house just short of 3 years into our "contract", 32.5 months in to be exact. We sold our house, I called to cancel, I was told no problem, sent one final invoice and the account was to be closed. Now, 6 months later I receive a $163 bill for an early termination fee. When I asked for a copy of the contract they sent me a generic copy of an electronic contract with my name typed... read more

This company has to be the worst gas company in the entire world!!! First, they had me sign a rental form for my tank when I bought my new house to start service, because they said it was a rental, even though it was located underground. I recently talked to the previous owner who said it is not a rental tank, it was his tank and conveyed with the property. Now they want me to give them a purchase receipt for the tank. Second, I placed an order for gas on 12/18/24, it is 1/9/25 and the order is still pending. I called to fin... read more

Called because I was getting no propane to my house. The gage said I had 60%, the monitoring thing they use said 60% but my tank was completely empty. When I called they said they could not come out for 6-15 days. Its 15 degrees outside and 3/4 of my house runs off of propane. They didnt care that their equipment failed and tried to blame me for not calling sooner for a refill. I am set up on an auto refill plan. Their monitoring system and gage failed to report the correct %, how was I suppose to know their equipment failed... read more

The guidelines inform you that at 30% you must call for refill. Call was made January 2, 2025 With delivery by January 9, 2025. Company postponed delivery twice then verbally informed me they have a range between the ninth and the 13th to fulfill their delivery. My order does not state they have until the 13th therefore, I called customer support of which I was on the phone for 52 minutes before I was able to speak to anyone. Supervisor informed me to pay an additional $300 for an expedited service was the only way I could g... read more

They send bills with estimated usage, and when i show then the actual meter reading and adjust my billing they hang up on me. Since we are in ***************** program will ask my neighbors if they would like to bring a class action against them

Absolutely the worse customer service ever. Never will resolve the ongoing issues. We had a leak in November 2024 and now its January 4th. & they still havent fixed - even after multiple promises from customer service to fix within 24 hours. My gas has been shut off due to leak and we havent been able to use my appliances in days. No return phone calls, & still need part.

BEWARE!!We started over 16 years ago with a local propane company, Rural propane. they were bought out by AmeriGas. we had the original tank from Rural propane. We have not signed any contracts with AmeriGas. We heat with wood/electric and supplement with propane. over the more recent years, Amerigas has started to bill for a rental fee if you do not get a minimum fill per year. in the past we filled the propane right before winter and this was always waived the fee. they have now increased the minimum fill to 660 gallons pe... read more

I would like to put 0 star if I can because of the following: 1. Amerigas charges abnormally high rates when the customer discontinues their service. $299.99 for pick up fee and $119.99 for service dispatch fee. With taxes, eventually you need to spend around $450 to discontinue their service. (this is residential). For a comparison, some other propane providers charge zero $, they just come and pick the leased tank.2. It took me long time waiting on the line to get to speak to their customer service (more than 60 minutes, a... read more

A truly terrible company for 10+ years, but after being double-charged for service, we finally decided to have the propane tank dug up, at our cost, to switch to a local company. What finally sealed it for us was our detailed read of their customer service invoice for a low pressure call. They charged us 3 times for 1 visit: once for the service fee (to send someone out), second for the labor fee (for the person to be there), and a third fee for the person to actually measure the pressure. That is, they charged us for a pers... read more
