1. Last year tried 4 times to have my autopay fixed (I am on autopay but I always receive a late notice and end up logging into my account and paying online. Every attempt at least 20 min on phone with friendly person from another country.2. I was not able to log in to my account until accepting new terms by checking a box. We have always went through a local company, but recieved discount in the mail from Amerigas for first time customers. We decided to go with them as money is tight this year. We paid up front $411 for 170 gallons of propane. When delivery came to fill our tank he said he could not fill it due to a leak. Another driver came out a couple days after to repair the tank. Worst business ever! Read the reviews. My experiences echo theirs. The original company I signed up 35 years ago unfortunately was bought out by Amerigas. Their fees are ridiculous. Service is non-existent. It's a nightmare trying to use their website. Phone calls are outsourced IF you manage to reach a person. No customer should endure their abuse. I have tried to change propane provider but found no one will touch Amerigas' tank. One star is too many.
AmeriGas is a JOKE! Over priced, NEVER is the bill right! **************** is nonexistent! ALWAYS have a charge no matter what! Have canceled my service with them now they want to charge me to come pick up their equipment! AmeriGas is a joke of a company and I tell everyone about my experience with them. Do NOT use AmeriGas for your propane needs!
This is by far the worst company and customer service I have ever interacted with. We are under the mercy of their service as this is a monopoly. I requested my delivery over 10 days ago. They gave me a delivery date window and never showed up. When I called the service desk it is all a bunch of foreigners with asian accents who do not understand what you are saying and could care less to help you either. First there is no AMerigas office in Watkins Glen NY they have been closed for many years. I called Friday 12/6 late 5:40p and notified them I was out of gas. I ended up calling 3 times as I was out on hold for over 25 minutes and disconnected. The representative told me we would have an emergency delivery in Saturday 12/7. Again I called 3 times, with long wait times and disconnections. They told me I would have delivery Monday AM. It’s now 12:48 and no propane. I’ve called 2 times today. On Sept 14, 2024 I called the local company, got a menu on VM, used prompt for gas leek on an outdoor propane grill. Response was a technician would be sent out to my residence. About 2 hours later one showed up-checked the grill found a leak and disconnected the gas line to our in ground tank. Took him ~ 5 minutes to do this. He then proceeded to check our other gas appliances, which I did not ask him to do--gas cooktop- 1 minute, dryer-2 minutes, tankless waterheaters, inground tank. I sold my home and the purchaser did not want to use AmeriGas. I used their online chat service to close my account and request a pickup of the tank. One month later, the tank is still on the property, they cannot provide a date as to when the tank can be removed. Their overall service was poor, too often I had to call and ask for a delivery, when on their auto deliver program. I should have canceled a long time ago before I moved.
Unable to get customer service. After ***** on the phone, was disconnected over and over again. They took a prepayment but began delaying service. And now am unable to contact them to refund me or deliver propane. Recommend never using this company
