TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! Cannot get anyone to answer the phone UNLESS you are a new customer. I was a customer for 20 years and I am finally done! I wish I had cancelled years ago. Was quoted $4.26/gallon and now getting $1.56 from other company. Now i just want my crappy, peeling old tank picked up!

Me and my wife contacted them told them we were switching they wont let us see are acct i asked how much was in there they said over ******* dollars said as soon as they picked up there tank they would refund are money we got a check for ****** .I want to know were the rest of my money is im not paying for you to pick up your tank and you need to quit ripping off hard working americans like us i want the reast of my money you thieves

Amerigas should not be allowed to use Amer in their name. They are so UN AMERICA- a rip off company. Overpriced and horrible customer relations. They lie on the phone (when they answer that is).They buy up local propane dealers and then squeeze their customers for high prices.IF YOU ARE A CUSTOMER, STOP BEING ONE- its worth switching to a local supplier.

Amerigas is a terrible company to use. If you have different options where you live go with them. In my experience Amerigas seems to like to put outrageous yearly tank rental fees on your bill. It seems like in the past, if you filled up with enough gallons of propane a year, you would not get charted the "Rental / Maintenance" fee. And it seemed like it use to be a somewhat reasonable amount of gallons you needed to use, to get the "fee" taken off that year. Sincerely hoping they go out of business. Their shared meter pricing is actually illegal. They price shared meters by taking the monthly reading on the meter (in hundreds) and then dividing that down into gallons and rounding up. So, if you use .01 gallon of gas, they can read that on the meter, then they round you up to 1 gallon used. And someone is paid $12/month to come manually read the meter to illegally charge you.

minus stars!!!! worst company ever! lack of customer service, non professional, empty promises. Have been dealing with this company since March of 2024 for a bill that was already paid and account has been closed due to selling of home. Here we are in October of 2024 and the bills keep coming with late fees. I've called three times to their dispute department (what a JOKE) which is outside the ** and have received broken promises to rectify this matter by canceling out the balance and closing out the account. Began the process of cancelling Amerigas a couple months ago by sending an email. Nothing, no response, no acknowledgement. Making arrangements for a new service provider I need the tank moved and gone so I spend 4 hours on hold on two separate phones when going through the online prompts for "problems with an account", because there is no online way to close your account. Can't deal with these people. They want to charge you for everything. I was paying rent on tank and paying for propane, but they want to charge to repair their tank, then want to charge me to pick up their tank. I no longer use propane.
