I am filing a complaint regarding an unexpected $300 charge from AmeriGas.Due to a higher-than-normal gas bill, we contacted our landlord, who mentioned they might reach out to AmeriGas to request a service visit. You really need to track how much propane you have in your tank if you are set up for auto delivery. They continually come to deliver propane when I dont need it. They sent me an email last night 7:45 pm saying they were coming today to fill so I called them and I cant cancel the delivery because its en route and I have currently 60% full propane tank there is no reason for a fill this has been happening a lot over the last 2 years as Ive been tracking my fills and they are suppose to come when you are between 20-30% it seem... read more

Horrible customer service (2+ hours on hold) and ridiculously expensive ($127 fee) to cancel an unused service (pool heater propane) and have them collect their empty propane tank. This was a small tank that I rolled to my driveway for their driver to pick up and was charged $300 bucks for removal! $427 total just to end the service. What a scam...good riddance!

******** customer service. Takes over an hour to reach service *********** over 1 1/2 weeks w no propane as they try to figure out service issue and appts. No followup. Would not recommend to anyone.

We had been a customer since 2014 when we purchased our home, but recent events have forced us to terminate our relationship with AmeriGas. AmeriGas repeatedly sent us messages about improving the customer experience, yet their policies do exactly the opposite and we had a horrible experience. I would give Amerigas Zero Stars if I could. We have been a customer of ********************** for over 25 years. We were on automatic propane filling for our cook stove and back up propane heater. We completely ran out of propane over the weekend. I waited and called first thing on Monday. on Tuesday they came said they wont come down the drive way because of snow and left. ZERO STAR not one! I called Amerigas three times and put me on hold for over hours. first time I called, I had to wait over two hours and hung up. the second times, I called and put me on hold over one hour and 30 mins and hung up. third time, I was on hold for over 1 hour and 40 mins an d hung up. I ordered gas delivery prompted by a flyer sent to my house with a promo LUCKY26 at a price of $1.56/gallon if ordered by 3/27/2026. I called the number on the flyer, placed an order and paid with credit card. I was given a window between March 30th and April 6th. The money was withdrawn from my credit card immediately and I was charged $188.97 for 100 gallon, including taxes and delivery fees. I closed my account because I was dissatisfied with service. They picked up the tank and sent me a bill for $445 for picking up their tank. I have tried numerous times to call but am on hold over an hour. I am a senior on fixed income and do not have this money or feel I should owe them. I plan on calling ***************************** of aging, and a lawyer.
