There is no return policy listed anywhere in their tank exchange cages. Never had a propane tank before, so we decided to get one, along with a grill. Turns out we can't keep a tank in our apartment inside or out, so I wanted tu return it. I went back within an hour of put chance, and was denied a refund. 7-11 claimed it was in AmeriGas' hands, AmeriGas claimed it was up to 7-11. Their best suggestion was to call the city to have the brand new, full tank scrapped. Lost $75 for a simple mistake with absolutely no solution.

They are terrible, you can't understand them as their accents are so strong. They have no clue. They screwed up my order and I am sure they will make it even worse.I cancelled the order and I will use someone else. If I could give them no stars, I would.

My mother passed away in 2020. Her home which was serviced by Amerigas was sold in the late summer of last year. I spoke with Amerigas (overseas call center, broken English) about closing the account. They closed the account, and assured me that all bills had been paid. In the year that has followed I continue to be sent late fees and pending charges for an account that I was assured was closed. I call repeatedly & am transferred into a call center rotation in I assume ********/*****, where I am promised the issue is resolve... read more

After several attempts and conversations, both verbally and electronically about the removal of their propane tank it still sets in my yard. I called August 6th to cancel service and to come get the tank. They told me previously that they would need 7 business days notice to remove it. It was scheduled for August 15th. I have voicemail and saved chat mail that confirm that. I took a day off from work to be there when they were to come. No show!!! During multiple phone calls it was in their notes that it was scheduled for the... read more

Bad business practices and unprofessional and unethical. I sold my home and told them that there was a good amount of propane in the tank. They suggested to lock the tank, of which I was ok with. Or have the tank picked up, which would charge a service call fee of $99.99 and tank pick up fee of $199.99. I opted out of having the tank picked up. I was never informed of a service fee of $99.99 just to go lock the tank and was never told about a service fee of $110.91 to actually lock the tank with 65% propane left in the tank.... read more

They charged me a week in advance for 300 gallons, then delivered less than 300. They tried to bill me more for less gallons. I am still waiting on credit. They demanded a credit check to use my credit card, so crazy.

HORRIBLE! If you're reading this, do not use or buy from Amerigas. We have had propane at our rental property for 25 years, it was a local company, then bought by Amerigas. It has been nothing but a nightmare!! Charged us double for propane! We are in the process of switching and using another local propane gas company. For us to cancel Amerigas, I sat on the phone for almost 2 hours, did not speak to anyone, emailed corporate office and did not get a reply for a month. NOW they want to charge us a 300 dollars to remove thei... read more

For several years, amerigas was told that the tank at our residence had no regulator and the tank was *****. No way of knowing how much propane was in the tank. The bills were always paid on time. In July 2021, the resident passed away, still amerigas services were used and paid for. When new residents took over the property amerigas was called multiple times and several visits made to local office where employees were inside ,door was locked and we were never acknowledged. Rent was paid in August 2023, still no regulator, n... read more
