Amerigas is the biggest rip-off, con artist company in operation. This company deserves a big fat ZERO STARS for the lack of customer service and ****************************. We cancelled our AmeriGas accounts several years ago after long hours on hold and running out of propane, and never reaching anyone to accept our order. We contacted another company and are very happy with prompt service. Almost two years ago we sold the business and property. We warned the new owner regarding our unfortunate experience with AmeriGas and their unscrupulous business practices. Please stay away from this gas company. Rented a 250 gallon tank and had it filled in 2022. Called to have it refilled in July of 2024. Cannot speak to anyone local on the phone. They advised refill of the rental tank would take 7-10 business days and the driver would have to perform a leak inspection test. Two weeks later a delivery driver showed up, filled the tank and left within 15 minutes. Received and invoice for $1300.00, 178 gallons at $6.41/gal plus addition service fees. Used Amerigas for a delivery one month ago. Ask them not to deliver again I only need refill every year or so. A truck showed up today wanting to deliver 300 gallons of gas that I did not order. I was told to use the app. Spent over half an hour on the phone using the app they told me to call, I called the number they told me to enter the reason for my call. First time customer as we bought a house with an inground amerigas tank. ****** came to fill it and couldn't due to us having pods in the way so he made note that he delivered 0 gallons and left. I got a bill for the delivery of 300 gallons, I called immediately and was told I had to wait two days for it to post on their side before they could do anything. Called back in two days and they put in a "ticket to investigate" as it's a call center and they can't fix billing issues. I've called back 4 more times asking of the stat... read more

On 4-29 I had a propane delivery. The driver ******* told me at that time that a copper connection to the tank was bent and should be replaced. He told me that he could find a connection and swing by to install it at no extra charge. On 5-18 the driver came by without calling but I was home. ******* said that while they had to do a leak check they discussed it and would waive all the charges. I am very displeased with Amerigas. On April 4 a driver came to fill tanks on an autofill order. He informed me the tanks that I rent from them was too old and can not be refilled. Was told a service technician would come and exchange tanks. Since then the delivery driver has returned twice and got the same message. We have called the local office several times with promises of coming today but never always a no show. My gate is unlocked reducing protection of property so they can work. This is the second time I have run out of gas during hurricane season. I live in a rural area with a gas generator, gas hot water ************ stove. I explain to them that I cant cook and Im screaming while trying to take cold showers for days. It seems to be no importance to them. They have not scheduled anyone to come to my home as of yet. Im sending out a SOS

If I could leave a review with zero stars I would. $250 tank rental if you don't buy min gas, then I closed my account and it took them over 9 months to remove their tank so that racked up another $250 because it ran into the next year. Horrible customer service. The only way you talk to someone directly associated with them is when you become a new customer, after that everything goes through a call center.
