Stay away. I ordered propane as my tank was at 10%. They assured me I would be notified within 24 hours of delivery so someone 18 y/o would be present. I never received notification. After getting home, amerigas had filled my tank but had disconnected the tank and installed a security plug. After multiple attempts to get a tech out to reconnect my device, I was able to get a tech dispatched but was told there was a $120 reconnection fee. I switched to a new propane provider. We've been a customer with ********************** for over two decades at least. They just sent us a renewal with an over 47% increase to our payments. **************** does nothing but try to bully you into accepting the increases the last two or three years at least. They are also trying to fraudulently change our contract into an auto renew that we never approved.
I have been an Amerigas customer for the past 3 years, and each year running into the same issue. Them scheduling a deliver 3-4 weeks out when I am in need of propane sooner. When they do finally deliver it, they always bring it a week sooner with no heads up. No phone call, no text. Then I get a text after the driver shows up stating there was a problem with delivery and I need to call to reschedule. I have been trying to Get propane delivered since January 2026. I have called them only to get answering service from out of country and then get put on hold for hours. I have had to call a local company to install their tank so I can have some heat. Amerigas cannot deliver gas but will pick up there tank for ****** + dollars. My propane service began in Nov. 1993 with Carolane propane in *************, **. The contract does not specify a specific charge to cancel service or pick up the propane ******* 2012 AmeriGas purchased Carolane Propane and I continued service under the same terms without signing any contract agreeing to new fees. Zero stars. All talk. Amerigas takes your money quickly. Was told we were added to the list to get gas. We had several calls in 2 weeks time to get gas, they never showed every time. They said l will add you to the list. Thats all they kept saying and they never showed over and over. We were never added to the list. They did not see our name on it. Empty promise. I had issues with them refilling the tank and then they let me run out in the middle of winter. They then said it would be over a week until they could fill it. I switched companies and told them to pick up the tank. It sat in my yard for over a year and then they picked it up and gave me a $500 charge!
I doubt ******* ***** will ever read this, but he has NOT "turnaround AmeriGas, including initiatives to return customer service centers to the ** and improve billing/logistics. A two week widow to provide gas? Nickeling and Diming the customers. It is outrageous that ********************** said that they were delivering gas and did not. Said there 6 year old tank was worth $1290, yet charged me $1460. Said if I didnt want the tank, I would cost $419 not to use it anymore and Id have to give them a 30 days written reason why... read more
