My propane supplier was a local company that provided excellent full service for gas appliances. A few years back the local owner sold out to Amerigas, and ever since, the service has taken a nosedive. First the local AmeriGas facility stopped filling and servicing small 20 lbs. propane tanks. DO NOT USE AMERIGAS!! Worst company of any kind that we have ever had to work with. We bought a house with an Amerigas propane tank. We had the tank filled. Then we bought a whole house generator and spent the next 6 weeks trying to get Amerigas to set an appointment to hook up the generator. You cannot talk to someone local. Their support is in the Phillipines and despite dozens of calls, emails, and use of their on-line form, we NEVER received a call to set up an appointment for hook-up. Worst Company ever,been told by foreign lady I have no balance however keep sending me early termination fees when I sold home and was told there was no contract as I pd cash, not to mention filled tank or charged me for a full fill and broke gauge took 2 weeks to replace and barely had 50 %. Straight ripped me off.. Seriously considering consulting with an Attorney, please save yourselves the Trouble,Missouri Customer

For the past 21 days I have been waiting on a propane delivery from AmeriGas Propane. Despite my 10+ different phone calls and web chats to Amerigas customer service, and their numerous assurances of my delivery being eminent. I still have no propane. I am pretty sure the local teams are filled with good people and this is all the result of systemic corporate dysfunction. Too bad you can’t call the local office.

They Suck real bad, will never ever use them again. How can it be that they charge $4.19 a gallon and Ferrel gas charges only $2.92 a gallon.

my mother is 88 years old and has been set up on the auto fill. They have filled her tank twice with month for a total of over 2,000.00 she only has a wall heater and is only home a few hours a day as she stays with my brother and I. We called and they could not give us an answer as to why they keep charging her so much. this is the worst most dishonest company ever

Terrible company , please do not use. They over charge for the propane!!!!! You try to call customer service you are on hold forever and I was hung up on several times. The customer service is located in another country and they can not speak understandable english . PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I moved to my house in March 2023 . From March till December 1st, I have paid more than $3000 for only Propane Gas. I called them and they explain the situation to them, they will send someone to check if there was a leakage. They assured me that they were going to waived and reimbursed my money. Fast forward, when they filled my tank on 12/01/2023, they charge me for $1,261.94, Again, they send someone to check the tank for leakage and charged almost $500 which they never reimbursed me as they mentioned to me. Amerigas owns the tank that is buried in my property that I bought in April 2021. I have no choice but to buy propane from Amerigas based on othe lease lest have the tank excavated and removed. After being charged a much higher rate per gallon on gas compared to the local market, I attempted to lock in a rate in June 2023. The quoted rate was $3.69/gal and the timeframe allowed was only the month of June.
