If I could zero stars I would. I have been a custom for 10+ years with Amerigas. The last 2 years (ever since they got rid of all my local branches) I get charged for “not filling my tank enough” an it’s also been the second year in a row that I scheduled a January delivery, received a delivery date and they have not shown up. I live in Michigan, scheduled my delivery while my tank was at 30% and we have recently had -25 days today was my delivery date 1-22-24 and I’m now at 15% propane with more cold weather on the way and ... read more
I have been a customer of Amerigas since 2000. I never has a problem until they off shored their customer service department. Now customer service is horrible and there are no local reps that you can speak to. I have been trying to get a delivery since 1/4/24. I have called numerous times and have been told that it would be delivered within 24 hours. It has not happened yet and I am at 27 % and it is cold in my state. I placed an order for delivery on the 6th if January 2024. They billed me.and it has been paid in full. I still have not received the promised delivery. This delivery is to keep the heat going in my elderly fathers house. This is his only heat source and he is at 5%. I have called everyday to check on the order and for a week they keep promising that it is in urgent emergency status and will be delivered the next day. Ordered gas and was promised delivery yesterday 4 different times I called. No delivery and now I an out of fuel in frigid temps. Can't get a local person when calling the number. Company has out sourced all communications. I have been a customer for 20 plus years. I will be looking for a new company!
If I could give no stars I would. Back in November of 2023 both my husband and I called into AmeriGas seeking resolution of the propane not feeding to our house correctly. We have 2 daughters and were left without heat, hot water, and a stove. Propane is our primary source. A week went by and AmeriGas didnt call either my husband or I back. They didnt show up either. AmeriGas is apparently sold. If you need help, you have to talk to somebody in the Philippines. I live in the mountains North Carolina; our Weather is nothing like the Philippines; our Weather is hot temperatures in the summer, and zero temperatures in the winter time; they have almost let us run out two times. This is such a terrible company. There no way they aren’t going bankrupt VERY soon. We moved into a home that had an Amerigas owned tank. We had the 500 gallon tank filled in 11/2022 at $2.68/gal. 1. We were set up with convenience pay. The amount per month “fluctuated” from $74 to $140 and then $170. (That’s not actually a fluctuation btw.. that’s impossible to budget) It was paid off by March and then we noticed they were still taking money for several months after this that amounted to over $500. Highway Robbers! The average price for residential propane is 2.15-2.40 right now in Ohio. they are charging me 4.16 a gallon. They tried to pacify me with 100.00 off and a gift card for 100.00 Still leaves the price of the propane at 3.409 cents. I paid 2.50 per gallon in October and prices are down so why the hell am I being charged 4.16. that is complete garbage! because since you have their tank you have to have their gas delivered. Well! not for long I am getting rid of them. they can shove their tank up their A$$
Very poor costumer service. Delivers gas to wrong address and refuses to fix the problem. You never can talk to anyone that can help you with your problems. They take your money and then mess up and will not fix it. I advise no one to use this company.
