The test was so simple and quick. I adopted a dog from a rescue last year knowing she was a German Shepherd but also knowing there’s no way that’s all she is. She is obsessed with snow and the outdoors and she’s fluffy too. Getting these results helped me understand her so much more and I’m excited to help her live her best life knowing what I know now!
As a rescue I was told Sophie was Havanese. The vet said probably Lhasa Apso and ? That's why I accept the results but I am still surprised at the 79%
Was interesting to find out or fur baby wasn’t what we were told. Good to know breeds so it’ll help with better vet care. Had an issue with my account (ended up it was my error) Abigail at the customer service line was extremely helpful. Definitely worth it.

Loved the results. They were very enlightening as to my girls traits and behaviors as well as the mix and percentage of other breeds in her mix. I highly recommend doing this DNA testing, even if you know the breed...so much more you can learn about your best friend in the results.
It was a cool and easy experience to get results on my dog. While the smaller breed percentages were a little questionable, it did confirm what I was previously told about her breed for the larger percentages. It would be nice if there were more overlap between petDNA and Ancestry for those that use both and I did receive an error when initially registering kit. Otherwise all was well and would recommend to others.
Great service. Kept me updated on every step of the process. Was easy to collect the dna on my dogs and send away. Didn’t take very long and the results are easy to read and understand. I did it on both my rescued dogs. I can even see some of the relatives they share DNA with, which is fun! This technology is amazing. Thanks ancestry.
