We’ve always wondered about Finn’s genetic background. Though it doesn’t affect how much we love him- the results explain a lot about our boy!
This was such a fun experience all around for us. We tested our three dogs. The kits were easy to use. We appreciated the status updates on the kits and testing. And we were excited and very surprised by our dogs' results. Really interesting and we're so glad we did it!
You found out the true kind of dog I have I feel ripped off, he was supposed to be a golden doodle and he's not so I'm upset about that and the $500 I paid for the last of a litter at 3 months old. But that's not your doing, you did great even in showing lineage and it appears he had some GD in his family genetics but he didn't get any. But he's my doodley do whatever test says and I love him to pieces.
I am grateful for Ancestry! It is so nice to have these types of tests to satisfy curiosity and answer questions. They were quick and accurate. I had a few ideas what my beagle was mixed with but was reassured. It was funny to see how the personality traits were spot on. My dog's name is Bandit and they definitely picked up on his unwillingly to share. He always steals my GSP's toys. This was a great experience and look forward to using Ancestry in the future.
We always suspected our registered Yorkie was not a full bred Yorkie and now Know Your Pet DNA confirmed our suspicions and we found out we have a YorkiePoo! I love my little Poo Bear!.
We didn't have to wait long for the results of our rescue dog. I will admit, the description was pretty accurate. We are excited to learn a little more about our dog and why she behaves the way she does. A great service!
This was super cool. I adopted my baby from a rescue and all they knew was that he was mixed with a Chihuahua. It was very interesting to find out the percentage of Chihuahua. He was and what he was mixed with. Would definitely recommend doing this with your fur baby
I adopted a puppy from a rescue operation. They said the mother was a rat terrior but they did not know what the father was. My results showed zero rat terrior but: 1. American Pitt Bull Terrior 2. American Bull Dog 3. Beagle. Lol. Something isn't adding up. I have no idea why her genes from her mom didn't show up.
We choose our baby from an animal foundation and we were told terrier mix bread and she was small dog when we got her so boy we were surprised at her results she is more German Shepard and other large breed dogs and only 7% terrier. Order this rest it’s a fun way to learn more about your dog and they are very friendly and kept us update on there process along the way. I would highly recommend this product
