I never would have guessed these breeds. I got Autumn from the Humane Society with the impression that she is a Bordercollie lab mix! Could not have been more wrong! Turns out she is a working breed Mutt. Yet totally makes sense! I also loved the Genetic behavior breakdown too!

While it took a little while, part that impatience from me was excitement to learn the results from two different tests of my lovely dogs that came into my home a few years apart. The results were intriguing and I was very happy to learn them as it helped explain and clarify personality. My older girl of 14, for example, came back basically ⅓ Maltese (no surprise), ⅓ Shih Tzu (not really surprising), but ⅓ Chihuahua (a surprise but which suddenly explained her growly snappy tendencies). Timely processing. Both dogs we tested came back with some shocking results, though. I may try again at some point and see if the results change. Our little "terrier" apparently has zero terrier, but some other small dog breeds and some breed called "Cretan Hound" from the isle of Crete. Can't imagine how it got into a hoarding home with unfixed dogs of many breed mixes. Our bigger dog who we thought was a white American Bull Dog/ Pit/ Boxer mix was two different types of pit bull and part Husky. That at least explained the ... read more
