This place is sooo good! How does it only have 4 stars? We ordered the pad see ew, chicken wings spicy, Tom yum soup with shrimp, radish cakes (wow!), a grilled fish that was supposed to be whole but was actually half (?) but still delish! and a tofu veggie dish. Everything was super fresh, well cooked, really well seasoned and flavorful and best of all not sugary like Thai food in the US can be. Been passing this spot by for years and I'm so glad I finally tried it. Definitely a new fave!
I've eaten here several times and always find the food good. Today we had: the salmon with garlic fried rice, param with tofu, bbq pork with rice, and pad thai with shrimp. All were pretty good but the pad thai was less special than I'm used to from various restaurants. It was way under-seasoned.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this Thai restaurant. They have A LOT on their menu, including MANY vegetarian and gluten free dishes. They also have dishes one doesn't always see at Thai American restaurants. All the food we tried was great. We will definitely return. Bathroom: C+. you have to go through the back ways of the restaurant, which is not pretty, and the bathroom itself was functional but not lovely.

Hands down the best Thai food in the Bay!! Seriously, must try! Their Pad See Ew, Yellow Chicken Curry, Crab Fried Rice and Mango Sticky Rice are all to die for! It's such a cozy family vibe! I lived close by, and my family would come to Berkeley to "visit me", but really they were just craving Anchalee, lol. It's a little pricy, but we highly recommend!

I am no expert in authenticity of Thai cuisine, but this restaurant has consistently well-prepared and tasty food. Order the samosa-like curry puffs. The pastry is flaky and one of the best things to eat ever. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and I have to admit that we haven't explored the menu much since we like ordering the same noodle dishes each time. I like that you can customize the heat from mild-medium-spicy. When I have eaten in the restaurant, the ambiance is romantic with the lighting, and the food is we... read more
