About this business

About Us In 1995, Sheri Fastenrath, DVM identified the need for an emergent care facility for owners and their pets in the Huntsville area. Unfortunately, there were not many overnight emergency options for medical treatment in the surrounding area. In response to that need, Dr. Fastenrath and other local veterinarians formed a committee to lay the plans for what would become the Animal Emergency Clinic of N AL. The response from the community was so overwhelming that many of the area veterinarians also came aboard ... read more

My dog kept getting sick over time and my regular vet wasn't equipped to treat her. I took her to Animal Emergency and Dr. Dawn Tucker took great care of her....at least she did all she could. A couple weeks later, I was forced to put her down. But I thought Dr. Tucker was wonderful.

Business response:

Thank you for trusting us with your sweet Betty Boop. We are so sorry for your loss. We are all pet parents here at AECC, so we know how important our furry family members are. Also, thank you for your nice message. Dr. Tucker and our entire team appreciate your kind words. We wish you all the best for you and your family during this difficult time.

Took my dog (Cliffy, a mixed black lab type guy) in since he was really in bad shape. He hadn't had food or much at all to drink for 3 days and was fading. Dr. Pritchett examined him and did a GREAT job of diagnosing his problem. What a total relief. I got two meds to give him and today (a day later) he's much better. What a relief. The whole staff was great and did a great job of taking care of us and Cliffy. Dr. Pritchett is the BEST! Expensive but worth the money to get our little Cliffy back to good health!!

Business response:

Thank you for your generous review, Kerry! We're so glad Cliffy is doing better. We'll pass on your kind words to Dr. Pritchett!

Yesterday, our dog was bitten was a snake in the backyard and when we called the vet en route, it became obvious that they didn't have the availability to move Caboose to the top of their priority list. My husband and I instead re-routed to Animal Emergency Critical Care, where we were greeted by an inviting and calm personality at reception, which we very much appreciated. Once our dog was guided to the back, it didn't take long for Dr. Pritchett to join us in the lobby to introduce herself, ask initial questions about Cabo... read more

Business response:

Thank you for your generous, kind review, Keithe! We apologize your family had to endure a snake bite emergency with Caboose. We're glad to know we were able to provide the best care possible, and we'll pass on your encouraging words to our team! Thank you for trusting us with Caboose's care.
