Angie, I would like to address the numerous concerns you posted about your visit to AESC. Upon arrival, your pet was clearly in a critical state and you gave us written approval to immediately stabilize her. During our initial conversation, you told us there was blood all over your house so our initial assessment was the wound were extensive. This, in addition to her medical history, is why hospitalization was recommended. However, when our doctor spoke with you it was clear you did not want to hospitalize your pe... read more
Took our money didn't save our cat and wanted more money on top of the more charges for cremation. Told us one price then another then another. Overpriced to pay for their new fancy bullshit office.
They could start by not misleading the customer. We brought our chocolate lab to you because she partially ate an AirPod pro. Prior to the visit I called the animal poison hotline. They advised me to get x rays done of her esophagus because, if the small battery got stuck there it could cause major problems. They gave us a case number to give to whoever we took her to. I called your establishment and was told that we could be seen, we would be allowed in the facility and was asked if I would consent to 750$ ahead of my visit... read more

Hi Glen, thank you reaching out and providing us your concerns. I have looked into the situation and have just tried to contact you by phone (left a message). I hope to hear back from you to get some additional information as well as share some. If I don't hear from you today, please try and call me at the hospital anytime. Thank you, Patty Selvidge, Hospital Manager
If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. As someone who works for a dog rescue focused on medical needs dogs, I work with quite a few veterinary clinics throughout Washington State. I have never had a worse experience than I did with Animal Emergency and Trauma Center and, in particular, Dr. Blanchard. We were treated with such a lack respect and a lack of compassion in working to try and save one of our dogs. Dr. Blanchard, apparently, had decided we should euthanize our dog (even though she had done very little... read more

Hi Ellen, Dr. Stone has responded to you by email in regards to the specific medical issues you brought to our attention. I would like to state that you were struggling to found an ER to see Hemingway that night and even though we were at capacity, Dr. Blanchard took the case out of concern for Hemingway's condition. Dr. Blanchard then spend several hours with you, your partner and the two foster parents communicating and updating on Hemingway's prognosis while also managing a full hospital of other critical patients. Yo... read more
Very upset and disappointed with the poulsbo animal hospital and emergency vet on lindvig road. My parents have a dog with a liver shunt and her abdomen has started to swell. She needs vet care to see if she could get the fluid drained or medicine to help the fluid drain. Took her there for care but the setup was more intended to prey on dog owner emotions than it was to care for the health of the dog! I called and asked for visit costs because we live on a budget and were told $149 for intial exam. Upon arrival they cam... read more

Hi Jo, based on what was communicated, I can understand how you would perceive the money issue, but please allow me to explain. The initial exam and emergency fee is $160. However, based on what the triage person understood what was going on with your parents dog, they felt it was in a critical state and the $650 was asked for to ensure we could immediately address medical needs upon arrival such as medication, x-rays etc. That is only "in case" you arrived and the pet is in crisis. Upon exam, we always offer what we rec... read more
First of they LIE! They are not “ALWAYS OPEN” you turned away my dog that needed stitches for an open wound on his side. Update on the dog you don’t care about. I ended up having to drive my dog to blue pearl in Seattle and they said because of this hospital denying him and saying he wasn’t an emergency, my dog was on the low end of getting septic. He is now in a surgical procedure and will be there on iv for awhile. I also want to add, the “tech” that met my husband at the door, did not even look at the wound on my dog.... read more

Hi Jennica. We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail. I am very glad you received the care you needed and hope your dog is doing well. At this time I am unable to identify you as a client so I ask that you provide more information to allow me to look into this matter further. To your point, we are a 24-hour hospital, but there are times when we reach our facility's capacity to treat more patients. This can occur due to a high level of critical/life-threat... read more
I appreciate them making time for me. This past Friday I noticed my cat had bright red blood on her fur and called around for an emergency vet, the closest one to me was a six hour wait. Animal emergency was able to get us in a few hours. They diagnosed her with an abscess and treatment was deep sedation, clean wound. We paid the lower estimate they quoted that included overnight stay if needed. They started the procedure around 530pm and called at 8:30 said we could pick her up. I thought that was a little too soon but... read more

Virginia, AETC is very sorry for your loss. We have reviewed Callie's record and upon arrival to the hospital, the only concern was the abscess. In addition, all of her vitals were normal during the doctor's exam. When you sent the picture, we did provide guidance on how to manage the wound. I know this doesn't help the sorrow you are feeling. Our managing doctor at AETC will call you to answer any questions you may have.
They were not honest about their prices and their wait times were ridiculous. They took overnight to get to my puppy’s ear hemotoma. We first contacted them in the morning, called set an appointment for them to come out and get the puppy. Nearly an hour later they still had not come out. We had to leave. Called back and asked about wait times in the afternoon. I was assured it was less than the 2 hours VCA indicated their times were. 3 hours later these guys finally took the puppy. I called later that evening a bit before 9 ... read more

Hi Alton, Please allow me to address several concerns you noted. You were provided a treatment plan which stated a high and low of what it would cost to treating Sassy. We went over that plan with you and you approved the plan and cost. We did not go over that agreed upon amount. I am truly sorry for the wait, but as like a human ER we must treat the most critical first and with the snow along with a large incoming of critical patients, Sassy was stable so we did need to put off the procedures until those other cases wer... read more
I had a horrible experience last night. After being told my cat couldn’t wait till morning to be seen I take her in only to wait 5 hours while Cheyenne Blanchard was on call. I understand this is an emergency clinic but when you say my cat can’t wait to be seen the next day and you let her sit there sick for that long makes no sense. The only time you wanted to help me was when I said I want to take my cat somewhere else then magically the doctor could talk to me. You also ordered blood work and never called me about it. I h... read more

Marcie, I know it is very upsetting when you have a sick cat. It seems that you were seen by Dr. Stone the day before and called back because Nibbles was not doing better so it was recommend we see her again. We apologize for the long wait, we do see patients based on how critical they are. Even thought Nibbles needed additional care, she was stable. Per the doctors notes, we were doing some additional lab work but you insisted to leave with Nibbles before we could get the results and advice. I would be happy to talk to... read more
