PE firms buying vet clinics have made prices out of control. After my vet wanted $500 for an X-ray for my dog (more than emergency vet) I decided it was time to find a new vet. I found Animal Health Care Denver through ChatGPT as they were listed as having a new patient exam for $30. I needed an x-ray / follow up for my dog after she had pneumonia caused my kennel cough. We took our dog here for an emergency CT scan and they were wonderful! They were able to get us in the same day and get the results quickly so that we could find the problem and help him out. The cost of this CT scan was significantly cheaper than other local places and we were very happy with my dog's care.

We have been coming to Animal Health Care Denver for years. They are always honest and compassionate. Dr. Sayer was very thorough in her examination of our dog Patches and gave us fair and honest advice. We have never had any negative experiences with any of the staff. We bring both of our healers here and even though they are not good at vets, Animal Health Care Staff do a great job of putting them (and us) at ease. What an amazing place! I'm a full time RVer visiting family in Denver and my Sheltie needed her annual exam. The vet tech, Samantha, was friendly and attentive and Dr. Hart was quick and realized my need for a years worth of medicine and care for our dog since we are on the road traveling. I look forward to being back in Denver next year and coming back to Animal Health Care Denver. A great team!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sayer she has gone above and beyond for me and my dog Cash. My dog Cash came into Animal Health Care Denver for a stem cell injection into his knee for a partial ACL tear. In the process of collecting fat, my dogs spleen ruptured with a 1" tear. She contacted me immediately and we decided to do a splenectomy vs a repair that might not hold and cause him to bleed out. We have been going here for a couple of years for our pets (dog and cats) and really do love it. To be honest, there have been ups and downs with our visits early on (trying to upsell you, etc). However, I have seen a big shift over the past 6 months. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Our poor cat had to have emergency surgery (toy stuck in stomach) and I couldn't be happier with our experience. Thanks, Dr. Kaitlyn Hart!

I already reviewed AHCD on Facebook a few years ago, but after having yet another amazing experience, I had to leave another positive review, so here's one on Yelp. My dog is aging rapidly and AHCD has been incredibly thorough, helpful and upfront about his progressing issues. The staff is aware of the expenses and stress that go into caring for an aging animal and they always treat us with respect and leave decisions to us.
