I have been going there for a few years now. I have a 10 year old Pug with a chronic skin problem. Not only have they figured out what is wrong with him but have given Samson a new lease on life. I wouldn't go to any other vet in Denver but there. Not sure what Trevor was talking about, the staff is friendly even at the busiest of times.
I've been taking my two dogs here for several years. They have been wonderful with my older Sheltie and took excellent care of my Pomeranian when he was hit by a car. They are straightforward and very affordable. Quality care at a good price for my beloved pets.
My roommate and I brought our dogs to AHCD for a stretch of about a year. During that time, one of their vets (Dr Kaitlyn Hart- License #VET.0011072) put my White Swiss Shepherd on Apoquel for what she thought was allergies. My biggest mistake and regret was trusting the vet's "professional" opinion on the matter. If you do any research on Apoquel, the first thing you find out is that it is a harsh immunosuppressant and can cause some pretty rough side-affects if not properly managed and supervised by your vet. There are ple... read more
Business response:
Dear Pat, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am so sorry to hear about your disappointment with our care. Dr. Hart is no longer an employee at AHCD. I have sent an email to you at the address we have on file, and I would appreciate the opportunity for further discussion. If you're open to talking, please call me at (303) 288-6800 or respond to the email. -Dr. Sayer
At first we liked Animal Health Care Denver, started there 2 years ago. What became concerning was their staff turnover and lack of communication between staff. My mother and I brought all 3 of our cats there, it was very clear that the 2 female cats belonged to my mother and 1male cat to me. The receptionist would send messages to my mother to confirm appointments for my cat, messages she didn't check or remember because it is not her cat. It is not her job to contact me about my cat's appointments, it is the receptionist'... read more

Hello, Ife D - Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your disappointment with us. The essence of our values and who we are all start with patient-centric compassionate care and best-in-class service. We wish you well.
We have been taking our dogs here for almost 7 years and the last two times I'm very disappointed in the treatment we received. We came in for something that was pretty easy to treat in the end but was bombarded with being suggested all these possible test that "needed" to be done. I don't appreciate the negative "dog mom shaming" that happened either. Sad to say as we originally started with this vet because it prided itself on care and not potential dollars signs. We will be finding a new vet.
Unfortunately after a bad experience we will never be returning here with our pup. The first few times we had a great experience, but our previous vet left and our appointment with Dr. Micah was terrible. She did not know how to handle our dog at all- to the point where she wouldn't even trim his nails. She did not provide us with any information about his health and she didn't seem to know the answers to any questions we asked. At one point she told us he MIGHT- at some point in his life- need a $7000 hip replacement so "s... read more
I am writing this review, not because of the medical attention my pets received, but for the deception of the new ownership! I believe the new Dr./owner to be well informed and great with my dogs, but I preferred the original owner Dr. David Schulman (he was fantastic). I have been bringing my dogs here for 6 years, and had 2 ACL surgeries in that time. The care and cost were unbelievable! Hence why I continued my 40 mile (one way) drive to continue my support for this clinic. BUT, when the ownership changed, I was NOT inf... read more

Hi Kristina, I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way. It was not our intent to deceive anyone. As soon as the change of ownership occurred, we updated the website to reflect this. We did not send out a general letter because for one, that's a lot of stamps! For two, we felt that the majority of our regular clients were aware of the transition as we were open with people about it for a year before it actually happened. Thankfully, most clients knew me well enough by that time that they decided to stay with us. I ap... read more
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! If you need an ACL surgery for a dog over 60lbs do not even consider this place an option. The staff is very nice, but the doctors obviously have no clue what a bigger dog needs for ACL repair or they just want your money. Not only one surgery failed but the second one failed as well. They don't properly fix and stabilize the knee, they simply throw a piece of fishing line in there and tell you to pray the scar tissue heals it. After the second surgery and over $3000 and 6 months of my dogs life I realiz... read more
****STAY CLEAR!**** Animal Health Care Denver doesn't even deserve one star. I've never experienced such poor service from a veterinary hospital in my years of being a pet owner. After doing personal research, I decided to keep my 5 year old cat all natural and not getting her spayed. I recently moved into the Denver area and never once before got the 3rd degree from vet professionals about getting my cat spayed. After telling them I wasn't interested they still went out of their way to show me a photo of a cat uterus af... read more
