Please don't waste your time. Dr. Wheat will glance at your issue for 5 seconds, let you talk for 10 and then immediately downplay your issue and try to get you to buy a product from whatever pharmaceutical company is lining their pockets that week. No follow up questions whatsoever and if you try to elaborate, she will cut you off and become visibly impatient. I (foolishly) gave this place a second chance too. The first time I came here, I clearly had some pronounced forehead acne. She kind of rolled her eyes at it, told me... read more
Not happy. Worst then google search. You know one of those doctor that you go to and feel like she just saying things to you and it was a wasted doctor visit? Or the doctor that tells you it is what is it without any explanation? She one of those doctor. She is a skin doctor but she doesn’t even know some of the basic procedures that are out there. She said she doesn’t know anything about them, except what she works on. Even if you have an expertise you still need to have basic knowledge of the state of the arts going on in y... read more
I have been coming to Anne Arundel dermatology for a while now. Dr. wheat is the first Doctor I did not have a good interaction with. She acted like I was not there. Talking to her was hard because she doesn’t listen. I decided to use her because the other Dr was out. Now, I have decided to wait an entire month for the other doctor. Dr. Wheat should learn bedside manner and how to listen to patients concern. I wasted my time at the appointment and never want to see her for a dermatologist again !!!
I was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism exhibited by my care team. I had an appointment with Dr. Wheat to have an excision of a concerning area. During the procedure, she was reprimanding the medical assistant for discarding another patient’s biopsy by accident, and furthermore the doctor and medical assistant were discussing scheduling concerns for an upcoming personal leave in front of me as well. It was extremely unprofessional and I felt as though they were not completely focused on my procedure. To make m... read more
In my experience, Dr. Wheat demonstrated that she is not competent, thorough, or cautious. I went to see her with a rash which she quickly diagnosed at a glance as ringworm. Without advising me AT ALL of the potential risks to my health, she prescribed an oral antifungal medication that could've resulted in extremely dangerous, and potentially lethal, side effects. After one week slathering on the topical antifungal medication she had also prescribed, which was not working, I sought the advice of another dermatologist. Witho... read more
I was seen by her. She is hopeless! I asked her few questions and she had no answer. I had my cell phone timer on she spent only 32 seconds in room with her aid without examining. I asked her basic question that what is etiology of what is had. She just used “you know “ it happens “you know” we give you antibiotics without discussing in details what is for, why I need this, any side effects. Never ever go to her. She lacks knowledge of her filled. I waited longer in the lobby and she was done.
This is my first time going to Anne Arundel Dermatologist. I decided to take my son for the good reviews on other providers. Dr. Wheat did not convince me of her knowledge as a dermatologist. Took my son for an skin issue and didn't get a correct diagnosis or the correct treatment for him. wasted my time and her time. she ended up prescribing the same medications his regular pediatrician had prescribed, when you question the treatment, she gives a different explanation.
