Columbus worst window company. Over 1 year start to finish. Order placed 4/26/24 and final invoice sent 5/22/25. Family company but they dont install their own windows. The problems started from the beginning with their subcontractor installers. The job was quoted for 2 days to install 16 windows and they rushed to finish in one day. Wouldnt give one star if it was an option. They didnt bring the materials to make the window stops or the screens for any of my six windows on the installation day. When they put the trim coil around the windows they replaced it with the wrong color. It took almost seven weeks for them to come back with the material to do the stops and the correct color trim. My husband and I had the front door and back door of our house in ************ replaced. The new doors make a big change, they look beautiful in our vintage house. However, we haven been having some issues with the back door installation. First, it was very tight to open and close. We really had to push hard to open it. I've wanted ****** siding for a long time. Finally pulled the trigger and hired APCO. The sales experience and install was ok, no real complaints. A year later we see splotches of slight discoloration all over the house. Nothing up high, mainly at the first level. I reached out to APCO and they immediately wanted to paint my entire house to make it all uniform which I thought was odd. Apco gave us a good bid for the price of replacing our windows in a 70 plus year old home. They came out and did an acceptable job installing the windows. After about six or seven months with the new windows, we found that the bathroom window was leaking when we had a hard rain. We called them to seek assistance to resolve this problem so it wouldn't ruin our wood work around the windows and flooring in the bathroom. I've been a home owner for over twenty years and have hired several different companies for home improvements, this is the first time I ever took the time to write a negative review, that's how displeased I am. APCO was the absolute worst, not only their service but their actual product too. It took them over three years to "fix" the door they installed. APCO install my windows on October 5th 2022, The windows were very hard to clean and I have had several windows installed in my house before and never had I ever had to take a razor blade to clean the debris off of the windows and the installer had to come back that evening with a spray bottle and put some type of cleaner on all of the windows to take off the debris. Would 100% not recommend this company to outsource any of your home improvements. I feel that I was lead in the wrong direction with ordering windows and doors for a renovation and received HORRIBLE communication along the way. I do not usually take it to the next step and write reviews, but I definitely do not want anyone else to have to deal with what I have for the last year. Look elsewhere and definitely dont order Plygem windows!
Extremely disorganized and evasive management. Demanded payment before the job was completed and threatened to increase the amount on the invoice if we didn't. The job was started 2.5 months after pre-arranged start date (arranged by APCO). Had to call multiple times to get any communication at all. Job is still incomplete 4 months after original start date.
