A clean well-cared for space. Not many folks were there because they were on a field trip to a movie - a good thing. The rooms I saw were about the right size for someone with dementia. I had a good feeling from beginning to end. The only detractor was my getting there and getting back again - I'll blame this on my unfamiliarity with the area and road system.

A very important factor is that the food is excellent. This was really important to our father as where he was in South Carolina was subpar. The facility is also very clean and nicely decorated. The staff are attentive and check on him frequently. His little studio apartment is very nice with a big window that lets in lots of sunshine on a large bathroom with an easy access shower. He loves having his own little kitchenette, even though there's no stove he can make his own coffee and microwave and there is a fridge.

Note that my Mom was only there for a short time before she passed. The staff was good - getting into a schedule that met my Mom's need took a little time. Adjustment for my Mom was difficult, as she was living with my Sister up until that point, and had 24x7 support of family. It was difficult for my Mom to use the food/dining, as she was in significant pain while in a wheelchair. What I like the most is that it does not seem like an assisted living community. It is clean and modern. It could improve communications about difficulties loved ones are experiencing by giving more real time feedback. And while most of the staff is very professional, we've experienced very unprofessional behavior from time to time from weekend staff.
