This is in my opinion the most difficult of the three palmetto dunes courses. Which is not a bad thing at all. The staff is very friendly and ready to help you out with anything you may need. The course is kept in very good condition especially for the amount of play it gets. If you're in Hilton Head in a golf trip this is one that you won't regret adding to your list of stops.

Course was good, not as challenging as I would've hoped. Greens were very slow as well. Staff was very friendly.

Beautiful course no doubt. But VERY few distance markers on the holes. My cart had no gps so lots of guessing. Definitely bring your own range finder.

Had a great experience both out on the course playing a great track but also with two staff members in particular. Once I paid for my round I asked the gentlemen in the pro shop "are the range balls included," he took my receipt and stamped it "paid" for range balls and said "it is now!" Then when I went out to play, I was a single and asked the starter who I was going to paired up with. He looked at his sheet and said there were 4 foursomes in an outing in front of me. I asked him if maybe I could go now and just ask to pla... read more

Great day out on the course! Track was in great shape, greens rolling nicely and first time playing since the Hurricane and it's really cleaned up! Mark in the pro shop and Kevin at the bag drop were excellent to interact with and my out of town guests had a great first experience!!

Play 36 holes here today absolutely average at best. They actually close the clubhouse and all restaurants before we could even leave the golf course unacceptable unacceptable unacceptable. OK cool

Overall, you will find all three courses at Palmetto Dunes fine. Typical high end resort courses, in good shape and some demanding shots, plenty of water, overpriced. You can find just as good courses elesewhere in the area for far less cost. There will be tons of other reviews that give you details on the courses, but very few will mention what I consider the biggest negative at PD -the practice facilities. If you are a serious golfer who wants to take time during your vacation week to really work on your game, you'll be su... read more

Love this course. Challenging but fun. Gorgeous scenery and lovely homes on entire course.

We were staying in the resort and played this and the Fazio course several times. The Hills course played okay (course conditions were pretty good for the last week of March and first week of April) and great feature is the ability to ride bikes with clubs on the two courses. I understand at some times of the day they allow walking. They have an excellent full and short game range open to the public. However, except for one inside person who was great (David from Harrisburg) I found the staff to be indifferent to rude. No as... read more
