Words do not discribe how I feel about the article I read pertaining to an incident involving a member of your staff and a young mother feeding her child. You deserve every single critical word you receive, and are lucky the woman in question doesn't press charges because as a proud breastfeeding mother I know I would!
I hate that I can't leave a 0 star review! Beyond illegally telling a woman she can't breastfeed in your establishment, you shamed and humiliated her. I would never give you my business or recommend you to anyone!
It's not hygienic to breastfeed WHILE SITTING IN a dentist's chair! Or safe! (Radiation, tools being passed, chemicals being used, etc) They couldve been fined by OSHA if they caught wind of it! All these breastfeeding moms shaming businesses isn't fair. (And yes, I BF my child till she was nearly 1). A business isn't required to accommodate their every whim. Shame on you, Aspen Dental! There are plenty of other more respectful & accommodating dentists out there.
Actually I'm on the side of the dentist in this case. There is a time a place for everything. I'm sure the baby was in no danger of starving if the feeding had waiting a few more minutes, frustrated yes, starving no. There was no life threatening reason to sacrifice modesty or safety. First off I just want to say that my experience at Aspen dental was EXTRAORDINARY! The staff was extremely nice and appreciative of my business. They ALWAYS kept me informed the whole way through my care. Second, as human beings we all make mistakes. What your office did to that nursing mother is despicable!! To even insinuate that there is anything wrong with a mother feeding her baby is an embarrassment to everyone as a whole. Have any of you worked in an office like this? I did for 7 years. This office didn't have a problem with the lady breastfeeding it was her holding up there office flow!
