The "partial" that Aspen made for me last December and charged $595 for broke while I was eating a salad. I brought it in for repair. I waited over 45 minutes, first to be seen, then to go to the finance office to be presented with my options, kind of like buying a used car. What dentist needs a seperate finance office??? When I sat in the examination chair, I laid the broken partial on the tray as instructed. The doctor never looked in my mouth or touched the broken partial. Nobody did. The services provided were fine and the hygienist did a good job. However, halfway through my cleaning the hygienist excused herself and went to another patient to do a charting which resulted in a lengthy discussion with the patient tell of her life story. They were next to me so I had to listen to the whole thing while waiting for my appointment to be completed. The hygienist should have finished with me and then proceed to another patient. My experience started off great a few years ago with Dr. Novak even though I required extensive and expensive treatment. I took a loan with Aspen to have the procedure and returned every 3 months for cleaning to keep the perio under control. The office staff was always delightful and kind and the hygienists were great, they always let me know that I was improving. Enter Dr Marino. Their staff and professionals seem competent but their demand for full payment a week before the procedure was unacceptable. My offer to full pay when treatment began was summarily rejected. Honestly, it seems like they put dollars before relationships or the patient. You can do better (you too Aspen).

The staff was fine but I was quoted one price on the phone for crowns $939.00 each, since I do not have any insurance. When I got to the check out consult the true price was over $1300.00 each crown. I shared the conversation with the phone person and was told they don't really know what is going on. I will not be returning as I feel I was misled from the beginning. I was visiting my sister in Naples a few weeks ago when I came up with a horrible toothache. I have dental insurance but there was a paper problem between the dentist at aspen and the current address. I was about crying in pain. They said sorry nothing we can do for you. The pain just got worse.. And showed me the door. As I was leaving I heard the receptionist say to the next person "your first visit is free, free X-rays ". Are you kidding me Aspen. Since I'm a dental chicken, I need a place that caters to my uneasiness. This wasn't the place. What I asked for when I made the appt was a check up and a cleaning. What I got was a quick look by the dentist and probing my pockets by the hygienist. I was there almost an hour and a half and never got my teeth cleaned.
