Feeling stressed about recurring chest pain, I needed a same-day appt within the Avance Care network. Nothing was available in Durham where I live. Fortunately, I was able to get an appt at the Chapel Hill location. Staff was warm and friendly. Without having to tell them, they addressed me by my preferred name, Meg, not my legal name, Margaret. That simple effort put me at ease immediately. Dr Stacy Bean was had great calming energy, and I felt truly seen in spite of our brief 20 mins. She ROCKS! And she has great style!

My wife and I both have had a bad fight with Covid for almost 2 weeks.. The providers and staff at Avance are so kind and caring and good at what they do. I think they have some struggles with being under staffed, so you have to be a little patient (not my best trait), but I don’t know anyone who isn’t struggling with staffing right now. They are all hustling and working hard. They find a way to work you in. Thanks Avance.

This was another great experience with Avance providers, once you get past the administrative headaches of dealing with websites and the ever-present FORMS that Avance loves so much. Shivas is one of the best healthcare providers I’ve had! So much so that I drive all the way to Durham to see him from my home near the Central Raleigh office. He and Michael were super professional, as was the lab tech who took my bloodwork.
