I continue to have issues with my bills not being ran through my insurance. I even called the avance people in the Philippines and they said they would take care of it, but they didn't. This was after making a three-way call with my insurance. This continues to be an issue and has not been resolved.
I wasn’t pleased with my therapy.
I benefit from consulting with Debra Parker regarding behavioral health. Marketing by Avance Care is a bit objectionable. I find the name Avance off putting.
Stephen Hughes is unprofessional and creepy.
Though I was having my first therapy session, which took a week to schedule, it was an intake session. I answered a bunch of questions online that I’ve already answered on the assessment given by my PCP. The live session largely asked the exact same questions. No clue about next steps. The provider, Jerome Cornwall, not prepared, not compassionate, and was all over the place. The session did not have a sense of direction.
I absolutely love my doctor and the staff at my location. However, I HATE, the answering service. I received notice at 7am that my appointment at 8am, which I chose because it fit into my work schedule, had to be changed because the doctor was sick. The voicemail said that phones turned on at 730am, so I called in at 732am. But because I had to go through the answering service who never understands what I'm calling about my 8am time slot got given away because it took then 15 minutes to get me to the right desk. It is such a hassle to get meds refilled. Even though you have to pick a pharmacy in your refill request, the pharmacy selection is claimed to not come through on the other end. My rx is always sent to the wrong pharmacy because I have to call around different ones so it can be sent to a place that actually has my meds in stock that month. I am always running out because it has to be month to month
